As a result, the rapid synthetic conditions of chemical vapor deposition graphene using liquid carbon source, liquefied petroleum gas and methanol were investigated through this study, and the optical and electrical properties of graphene according to each carbon source were analyzed according to the synthetic conditions to achieve the synthesis and property control of high quality graphene. Many experimental studies have been studied in addition to many previous theoretical studies, since 2004 when the Geim Group of Manchester University first separated the monolayer graphene from graphite through mechanical exfoliation and measured the electrical properties of the field effect based on graphene. This is a nanomaterial of carbon isotope that has been in the spotlight since the late 20th century, and a carbon isotope with a perfect structure, hexagonal, two-dimensional symmetrical atomic structure that has not been implemented in zero-dimensional materials fullerenes and one-dimensional materials carbon nanotubes, providing a basis for experimentally implementing the characteristics expected in many previous theoretical studies. Graphene is a layer of graphite, that is, a layer of atoms. Carbon atoms with four outermost electrons are located at each vertex of a regular hexagon (honeycomb structure), and each carbon atoms have a sp2 hybridized bond that has three nearest neighbor carbon atoms in covalent bonded by σ bonds, one outermost electron is perpendicular to the two-dimensional plane and exists as a π orbital. Methods of obtaining graphene include mechanical exfoliation, epitaxial synthesis, and chemical vapor deposition, especially chemical vapor deposition is one of the synthetic technologies close to commercialization as it can synthesize graphene in a large area. The synthesis of graphene using chemical vapor deposition is affected by the catalytic metal made of nickel or copper, process temperature and process pressure at which graphene can synthesize, and the type of precursor to be used as a carbon source, which requires mass production of graphene to be adopted in various fields - transparent conductive film, solar cells, etc. Mass production of graphene using chemical vapor deposition requires the achievement of the lower synthetic costs, the number of layers of graphene, the synthetic area size, and the defect control. In this thesis, instead of expensive high purity methane, which is mainly used as a carbon source in the synthesis of graphene using chemical vapor deposition, liquefied petroleum gas, which consists of butane and propane, which are used as general consumer goods, and methanol, which is used as precursors in the synthesis of various reagents in the field of industrial chemistry, were used as liquid carbon sources to synthesize graphene. In order to synthesize high quality graphene by using low pressure-thermal chemical vapor deposition, the synthetic conditions were optimized by variables such as liquefied petroleum gas or methanol, process time, process temperature, gas type, and gas flow, and the synthetic time spent more than 10 minutes on the synthesis of thermal chemical vapor deposition graphene using methane was reduced to within one minute. The synthesized graphene confirmed the change in quality and characteristics of graphene according to the synthetic conditions through optical microscope observation and Raman spectra analysis, and compared the chemical vapor deposition graphene using methane as a carbon source, both liquefied petroleum gas and methanol were able to identify the blue shift of G peak. To analyze these blue shifts more closely, graphene field-effect transistors were fabricated using semiconductor device fabrication method using E-beam lithography. By analyzing the current-voltage curve of graphene, it was confirmed that the electrical characteristics of graphene, which synthesized by liquefied petroleum gas, showed the characteristics of the n-type, the p-type characteristics of graphene synthesized by methanol, and that each graphene had an charge mobility over 1,500 cm2/V-1∙s-1. In particular, graphene, which was synthesized by liquefied petroleum gas, was verified for sulfur's presence and movement in graphene according to the synthetic conditions, an element that actually causes the above doping effect, and the X-ray photoelectron spectra analysis confirmed the degree of doping identified by the above electrical characteristics through the concentration analysis of sulfur in graphene.
