What consumers want to buy is actually the brand but not the product. The products produced by companies have strong substitution potential, but the connotation of the brand cannot be replaced. In other words, brands can withstand time and market trials better than products. Therefore, sports companies in each country are actively conducting brand marketing. China and Korea were no exception. China started to develop the sports industry from the 80s of the 20th century and Korea were started from the 70s of the 20th century, and since then each sports brand is also conducting marketing activities through various methods. However, both of China and Korea, the native brands did not exceed global sports brands. To explain the reason of global sports brands are well developed in both capitalist countries and socialist countries. the study analyzed the difference in marketing strategies of global sports brands in the Chinese and Korean markets. Adidas is the world's second-largest global brand after Nike, and has a high position both in China and Korea. Therefore, this study analyzes the differences in marketing strategies in the Korean-Chinese market of global sports brands with Adidas as the representative brand. The study first analyzed Adidas' marketing strategy. As a result of the analysis, Adidas mainly conducts due diligence marketing strategies such as integrated marketing communication, market segmentation, star spokesman marketing, parallel online and offline marketing, and localized brand promotion strategies, personalized orders, and hunger marketing. Next, the study is also analyzed the marketing environment and marketing situation of Adidas Chinese and Korean markets with the method of PEST analysis and SWOT analysis. As a result of the analysis, both the Chinese and Korean governments are providing policy support for the development of the sports industry, but the economic situation in both countries is not very good. However, due to the increase in national income and government policies, the people's interest in sports is increasing, and besides from the government's technical support in terms of technology adidas itself is also actively making technology. As such, it can be judged that Adidas' marketing environment is not bad. However, in the Chinese market, it has weaknesses such as price and style, and in the Korean market, there are not many franchises. For Adidas to develop well, it must make good use of government support and actively develop technology and design. At the same time, adidas is also need to be careful about risks such as counterfeiting with competitors. Although the research still has limitations such as not being able to conduct consumer research and having some data discussions, this paper was the first to introduce a specific brand called Adidas to compare marketing strategies between the Korean and Chinese markets. Through this, it was proved that the effectiveness of the marketing strategy can be influenced by market differences. In addition, through this study, Adidas' marketing strategy was clarified and the effectiveness of these marketing strategies was also shown to some extent.
