This study aims to verify the impact of independent variables, human capital, economic capital, and social capital, on social participation activities of dependent variables, older adults. The subjects of the study were extracted and analyzed 4,353 senior citizens aged 65 or older among the subjects of the 7th Basic Research Panel survey conducted in 2018. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS 26.0 statistical program to analyze frequency, descriptive statistical analysis, cross-analysis and chi-square analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The main results of this study are as follows. When hierarchical multiple regression was conducted, the higher the level of education, subjective health, and life satisfaction among human capital factors, the higher the social participation activity, while the lower the age, the less social participation activity. In economic capital factors, the higher the average monthly allowance, the higher the social participation activity, and the more burdened the cost of living in retirement, the less social participation activity. In social capital factors, the more informal the interaction, the higher the social participation of the elderly. Suggestions based on the results of this study are as follows: First, education and program development should be carried out so that senior citizens can find their own capital and specifically utilize it for social participation activities. Second, it is necessary to refine social participation activities based on the capital of the elderly by reorganizing the current social participation activities of the elderly and expanding the type. Third, elderly social policies should be realized in terms of health prevention, income security, and improvement of awareness of the elderly and aging so that social participation of the elderly can be carried out from an active aging perspective.
