Through the physical shape analysis of various bloodstains observed at the scene of the bloodshed, it is possible to estimate the suspect and determine the authenticity of the suspect's statement. The history of bloodstain morphology analysis began in 1895 when Piotrowski studied impact scattering bloodstains created by striking a rabbit head with an ax and a hammer. The importance of bloodstain morphology analysis through expert statements on evidence of scattering blood in the Samuel Shepard case retrial in 1966 It became the first case to awaken people's interest, and in Korea, bloodstain morphology analysis has been used for on-site reconstruction of major bloodshed events since the establishment of the Korean Society for Bloodstain Analysis in 2008. perimeter bloodstains belonging to other bloodstains among bloodstain types are perimeter bloodstains that remain and are generated when blood is rubbed after a certain period of time after falling. The blood dries from the outside over time, and when rubbed in this process, the dried part remains. The thickness of this dried part tends to be proportional to time. In this study, drop bloodstains were created at a height of 76cm, which is the normal position of the hand when a person is standing, with a volume of 20μl and 22μl, similar to the standard blood volume (25μl) falling from a sharp object such as a knife, and then dried over time. The characteristics of the contour bloodstains were observed. First, after drying the blood drop marks for 50 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes, the rim characteristics were observed by rubbing. After drying up to 80 minutes at 10-minute intervals, each was rubbed to observe the remaining edge characteristics, and the thickness of the edge was measured. In addition, the diameter of the blood drop according to the change in blood volume was measured. As a result, as the blood volume increased, the diameter of the blood drop increased, and the thickness of the border of the outline blood also increased over time. As the edge of the outline bloodstains increases with the passage of drying time, an equation was derived using the Thickness/diameter ratio based on the experimental results, and the error rates were compared. There was a large error rate between 10 and 20 minutes in the generation time of contour blood marks generated by doses of 20μl and 22μl, but the error rate was not large from 30 minutes to 70 minutes. Therefore, if the equation derived from this study is used, it is thought that it will be possible to know the predetermined time at which the drop bloodstain was created only by the diameter and border of the outline bloodstains created by small blood drops found in bloody incidents, and in the form of bloodstains at the crime scene. I think it will contribute to the reconstruction of the field.
