The purpose of this study is to examine the reality of children's rough and tumble play in the kindergarten and the perception of Chinese teachers about the rough and tumble play. The research questions of this study are as follows. First, what is the actual state of rough and tumble play and the response style of teachers in Chinese early childhood education institutions? Second, what is the Chinese teacher's perception of children's rough and tumble play? Third, what is the perception of Chinese teachers about the obstacles to children's rough and tumble play and how to support the tumble and rough play? This study distributed a total of 320 questionnaires to teachers working at early childhood education institutions in China and collected 311 copies. Among them, the study was conducted on the basis of data from a total of 290 copies, excluding 21 questionnaires with invalid responses. As a research tool, based on the questionnaires of Yunhee Lee (2009), Hana Kim, and Gwiok Lee (2015), use a questionnaire modified and devised to match the characteristics of China and the situation of early childhood education institutions. In order to carry out this survey, it was distributed through QQ and Wechat, China Telecom, using the Chinese questionnaire site, WenJuanXing. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0, and descriptive statistical analysis of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation was performed to find out the general background of the study subjects. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, as for the survey results on the actual condition of children's rough and tumble play in kindergarten, the majority of respondents answered 'a little bit more', and the objects used during the rough and tumble play were 'not using objects. The most frequent answer was 'No.' As a result of analyzing the places where children mainly play rough and tumble play in kindergarten, the most often play in a large space in the 'outdoor rubber floor and outside playground', and the rough physical play is mainly 'play time' and 'physical activity time'. 'It can be seen that it is done. Second, the survey results on the teacher's response style to the rough and tumble play showed that the teachers participated in the rough and tumble play as 'participate in play but passively participated to the extent that they only respond when they need help from children'. The degree to which children participate in rough and tumble play is relatively high. Most of the teachers responded that the degree to which the teachers allowed rough and tumble play was a little banned, and the allowed places were more than half of the teachers allowed in the 'outdoor rubber floor or outdoor playground' and 'indoor large space outside the classroom'. When looking at the allowed time, the response rate of 'play time' and 'physical activity time' is relatively high. It can be seen that the method of restricting the rough and tumble play by the teacher is mainly limited to the method of 'prohibiting the behavior of some types of rough and tumble play'. Third, the survey results on teachers' perception of rough and tumble play were the most common among the types of rough and tumble play that Chinese teachers perceived as similar to 'symbolic play', and rough and tumble play recognized by teachers. It is recognized that 'chasing and chasing play' is seen most often in both indoor and outdoor behaviors. As a result of surveying teachers' perceptions of the importance and value of rough and tumble play, the importance and value were high with an average of 3.04 out of 4 points. They recognized that there is a value in terms of cognitive and social development. Chinese teachers think that rough body play is a play that is distinct from aggressive behavior. Children with high aggression tend to play rough and tumble play a lot. Recognizes that it is perceived as aggressive behavior. Fourth, as a result of surveying the perception of the difficulty of performing rough body play and the desirable way to support rough and tumble play, the reason why teachers are unable to support or allow rough and tumble play is mainly 'Parents' are sensitivity to children's safety. In consideration of safety, rough and tumble play is restricted for safety reasons' and 'institutional managers' demands for prevention of safety accidents'. In addition, the reason why children are not good at rough and tumble play was the most replied 'due to concerns about safety accidents'. The results of a survey on whether or not to support rough and tumble play later in kindergarten were more than those who wanted to support teachers who did not want to support them. The result of asking a teacher who wants to support about the most necessary and most desirable support methods for encouraging rough and tumble play is that they must have 'appropriate guidance and relevant knowledge for rough physical play', and when supporting rough and tumble play, It was recognized that it was necessary to observe the play closely to minimize the violent elements and to intervene when appropriate.
