The purpose of this study is to improve the perception of mental disorders by using YouTube content for college students. According to the purpose of the study, the research model was a non-equivalent control group design. It was divided into an experimental group with 46 participants and a comparison group with 47 participants, and the experimental group provided YouTube content related to mental disorders three times after pre-test. However, the comparison group did not provide any YouTube content after the pre-test, and later conducted the same post-test as the pre-test used. The summary of this study is as follows. First, it was confirmed that there was a significant change in the pre-test and post-test between the experimental group and the comparison group, and the average after the post-test increased by 0.3091 points, which was significant, but the comparison group decreased by 0.0042 points and was not significant. Second, among the sub-items of prejudice scale, appearance, mental illness symptoms and treatment, work life and colleagues, marriage and child rearing, daily life performance, neighborhood nimbi phenomenon, social service and government support were positively changed, and these changes were significant. Third, in the sub-item of prejudice scale, a social rights recognition item was changed in both the experimental group and the comparison group. Through these research results, the use of YouTube content to improve awareness of mental disorders in college students proves its effectiveness, suggesting the need to use YouTube content to improve awareness of mental disorders.
