ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the works of researchers who expressed the relationship between dreams and ego as a fantasy. Accordingly, the relationship between the researcher's inner world, unconscious fantasy, and reality was identified, and literature with new images was reviewed, and presented as the basis for research work analysis. In particular, the researcher's unconscious fantasy is aimed at expressing the reality of ideas that exist but cannot be revealed. The researcher's individual inner emotions, psychologically suppressed feelings, and contradictory life were intended to be caricatured and made into a work. Therefore, this study attempted to confirm the relationship between the self in the inner world and reality through unconscious fantasies in dreams and secure the arguments for this as follows. First, in order to find out the relationship between dreams and egos, Freud's unconscious theory and the interpretation of dreams were explained based on Freud's unconscious theory, and understood that emotions (self), human existence, and unconscious fantasy coexist. In other words, when creating a picture of a dream, he was completely immersed in the researcher's dream and created based on self-awareness so that he could express himself well. Second, based on concepts such as inner consciousness and unconsciousness based on Freud's and Jung's theories for access to dreams and creations, it was confirmed that dreams were compressed and conscious in various forms, symbolizing achievement characteristics in creation. Third, it was found that the self through the narrative of dreams was glorified in the work caricatured with satirical techniques to reflect the self of reality. Fourth, it was found that the self-form through the dream narrative was intended to express a surreal and multidimensional space away from restraint, showing conflict confrontation, unification, and deviation between reality and dream, stimulating visitors' curiosity and imagination and promoting creators' new attempts. Fifth, the authors and works related to the above contents were analyzed. Specifically, it analyzed the works reflecting the dreams and surrealism of four people, Hieronimus Bosch (1450-1516), Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Korean surrealist painter Cui Ulga (1955-), and Chinese painter Chenliu (1973-). Their works use a lot of creative methods by expressing dreams, and in their works, they express characteristics that do not match the objective natural world. Based on the above argument, the researcher's work was analyzed by dividing it into two sections (6 verses). First, in the first section, works expressing self-image through the narrative of dreams were mainly analyzed. and express inner solitude. Solitude is an emotion that separates oneself from external reality, but it gives you a chance to face yourself. This was embodied as a work. "Shark Play" embodies that human consciousness changes independently according to the situation. In addition, "Nori" and "Bopy Hwang" reflect the researcher's image as works that express inner anxiety through caricatured animals. In the second section, various creative techniques and media were used to analyze works that expressed reality. , which expresses the inner world of researchers who respond silently to contradictory reality, , , and compared reality to chessboards to induce social criticism and questioning. In particular, the "Paradise" series embodied the expansion and reflection of the medium by allowing viewing up to three dimensions using ceramics, tapery handmade tubing, and 3D animation. Through the analysis of the work, it was confirmed that various methods such as the inseparable relationship between dream creation and ego, the use of various materials, the use of various colors, satirical techniques, etc. can be used in creating works with dreams as narratives. In other words, seeing art creation as an illusion and material carrier in a dream shows that art works are a substitute for one's wishes. The artist's creative process, from conception to completion of the work, is the process of anomalously realizing wishes and revealing oneself. To make this meaningful, an opportunity was provided to re-examine the value of dream creation by analyzing the relationship between dreams and egos. Therefore, through continuous research in the future, we intend to expand the scope so that watercolors and ceramic art can become areas where the artist's unconsciousness can be expressed more freely.
