ESG경영이 SCM(Supply Chain Management,공급사슬관리)성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 -건설1차 공급사를 대상으로- A Study on the Effect of ESG Management on SCM(Supply Chain Management) Performance -For Construction Primary Suppliers-원문보기

ESG management has become a must-have era, not an option. Companies have focused on financial performance in the past, but today, in addition to financial performance, non-financial factors such as ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) must be comprehensively considered. Investors no longer invest in companies that cause environmental problems, undermine workers' human rights and safety, and do not strive for ethical management and social responsibility, governance and decision-making structures. The era has begun when so-called bad companies are eliminated and good companies are in the spotlight. Large companies have already begun to adapt to the environment that has quickly changed to ESG, but mid-sized and small-sized companies are confused about the concept of ESG management and lack performance capabilities. The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of ESG management of companies on SCM (Supply Chain Management) performance, which is essential for corporate activities, with construction primary suppliers. This study attempted to conduct multiple regression analysis for each sector on how each management factor of the Environment, Social, and Governance constitutes ESG affects customer performance, internal process performance, financial performance, innovation and learning performance among SCM (supply chain management) performance. The statistical analysis results of this study show that ESG management, an independent variable, has a significant effect on SCM performance, a dependent variable. The specific results are as follows. At first, ESG management affects customer performance among SCM performance. The multiple regression analysis results show that the regression model is statistically significant. (F=28.275, p<0.001). Environmental and Social management have statistically significant positive effects, and Governance improvement don't have a significant result. Second, ESG management affects the internal process performance among SCM performance. The multiple regression analysis results show that the regression model is statistically significant. (F=13.647, p<0.001). Environmental management have a statistically significant positive effect, and Social management and Governance improvement don't have produce significant results. Third, ESG management affects financial performance among SCM performance. The multiple regression analysis results show that the regression model is statistically significant. (F=13.244, p<0.001). Environmental management and Governance improvement have statistically significant positive effects, and Social management don't have significant result values. Fourth, ESG management affects innovation and learning performance among SCM performance. The multiple regression analysis results show that the regression model is statistically significant. (F=17.826, p<0.001). Environmental management and Governance improvement have statistically significant positive effects, and Social management don't have significant result values. From the perspective of construction primary suppliers, ESG management has a significant effect on SCM performance, but in each ESG item, it is analyzed that the result value differs depending on the company's business environment. Therefore, this study is meaningful as a study that presents the effect of ESG management on SCM performance and quantitatively confirms the utility of each element of ESG.
