This study attempted to analyze this by paying attention to Korean culture-related video content in King Nuri Sejong Institute, which has great value as an educational material along with the increase in demand for Korean cultural content. Accordingly, objective information on topics, materials, video structures, and user interfaces was collected and interpreted and discussed for self-produced non-drama videos among Korean cultural contents posted at King Nuri Sejong Institute. For the above research, the following research questions were set up. The first research question is to classify the subject and subject of self-produced non-drama videos among Korean cultural contents posted at King Nuri Sejong Institute by category to reveal the distribution and characteristics of self-produced video contents covered here. The second research problem is to analyze and categorize the structure of the image by dividing it into 'image components' and 'image expression methods'. The third research question is to analyze whether King Nuri Sejong Institute serves as a convenient online learning space by analyzing in terms of user interfaces such as learning possibility, screen design, supporting language, and interaction. In order to reveal the research problem, the analysis target was selected and the analysis criteria were set. Among the Korean cultural contents of King Nuri Sejong Institute, 80 non-drama genre videos produced by Sejong Institute were selected for analysis. The analysis criteria were set by dividing them into subject and material, image structure, and user interface area. In order to classify cultural topics and materials, standards were prepared based on the theory of cultural education items, and the 'International Common Korean Education Standard Model (Step 4)' was revised and supplemented. In the case of image structure, the focus was on image components (persons, learning contents, sound) and image expression methods (image development, viewpoint). In the case of the user interface, the environment such as learning possibility, screen design, support language, and interaction of King Nuri Sejong Institute was analyzed based on learner-centered usability evaluation criteria. According to the analysis criteria set in this study, the results of analyzing self-produced non-drama videos among the Korean cultural contents of King Nuri Sejong Institute are as follows. First, looking at the distribution of cultural items by cultural category by program, it was found that the 'daily life' category and the 'art' category accounted for the highest percentage. Even in the ‘daily life’ category, materials related to ‘dining (Korean food)’ frequently appeared, and it can be seen that ‘kimchi, bibimbap, and bulgogi’ are common in all programs, introducing them as representative Korean food. In the case of ‘art’, it was divided into popular music ‘K-POP’ and traditional music ‘Pansori’, and in the case of the ‘cultural heritage’ category, ‘Taekwondo’ and ‘House’ appeared as the main materials. Second, the image structure in the Korean cultural contents of King Nuri Sejong Institute was categorized and examined, focusing on the image components and the image expression method. Among the video components, characters could be divided into a ‘society-led’ that systematically leads the program and unilaterally delivers information, and a ‘interactive’ that communicates interactively in the process of experiencing Korean culture. In the case of learning content, 'data screen' and 'computer graphics (CG)' were mainly used, and some 'field screens' were implemented to convey vivid scenes of Korean culture. As for sound, 'music' and 'acoustic effect' were essential in all programs, which played a role in raising the atmosphere of the video. Among the video expression methods of the video structure, most of the ‘video development methods’ used ‘head-up’ in which core contents appear in the front, and in the case of ‘video viewpoint’, the ‘objective viewpoint’ in which the cast talks to the camera was mainly directed. Third, the user interface of King Nuri Sejong Institute's Korean cultural contents was analyzed focusing on learning possibility, screen design, support language, and interaction. All video contents included titles, educational contents, and links to other learning, which are sub-elements of learning possibility, but were not composed of individual contents suitable for each video content. In the case of screen design, both character utterance subtitles and educational content subtitles were included. The language of support provided by King Nuri Sejong Institute itself was very poor, and the interaction function was also ‘comments’. Based on the above analysis results, the following conclusions were drawn. First, there is a severe bias in cultural items in non-drama video content produced by King Nuri Sejong Institute. Moreover, it was difficult to find the contents of a comparative cultural perspective that allowed learners to compare and understand Korean culture and the culture of the culture to which the learner belongs. In order to increase the value as a learning content, the contents of the cultural category in the video content must be variously configured. Second, the characters in the video content could be divided into ‘host-led’ and ‘mutual exchange type’, but Koreans mainly appeared as hosts and experts to teach related contents, and foreigners mainly appeared as students to learn and experience Korean culture. There were some restrictions on the role according to the character's nationality. Third, the learning contents in the video content consisted of 'CG' and 'data screen' in all programs, which seems to be the most useful form for delivering objective information. In the content development method, the 'head bracket type' was mainly taken, and all 'objective viewpoint' was used. The type of parenthesis can attract learners' attention at the beginning, but the longer the video length, the more likely it is to watch it with interest only in the beginning. In the case of an objective point of view, it may be boring because the most natural camera point of view or camera short change is not large, so it is necessary to use a short mixed with a subjective point of view. Fourth, the user interface of King Nuri Sejong Institute needs to provide a different environment than the YouTube platform of King Sejong Institute. The title and content introduction used on the YouTube platform were used at King Nuri Sejong Institute, confusing learners' learning. Language support should be expanded so that learners of various nationalities can watch video content in their native language, and additional functions such as active participation of managers and real-time chat should be prepared for smooth use of comment functions. Since there is no case of systematically analyzing King Nuri Sejong Institute's Korean cultural contents in terms of subject, material, video structure, and user interface, the attempts and approaches of this study have their own meaning. However, the limitations are that the analysis scope of video content was limited to self-produced non-drama videos, and that it did not grasp the overall intention of Korean cultural content at King Nuri Sejong Institute, camera work and angle during video structure analysis, and research on whether video content can be learned at each level. In future studies, more three-dimensional analysis and discussion can be drawn by reflecting these points.
