The existence of gravitational waves was first predicted by the general relativity published by Einstein in 1915. It took more than 100 years for gravitational waves to be directly detected by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) on September 14, 2015. Gravitational wave is considered as the perturbation of space-time that spreads out in the form of waves when an object with mass undergoes a rapid change in gravity. The currently operating ground-based interferometric gravitational wave observatories use a long-range Michelson interferometer. Joining Virgo and performing continuous improvements during three times observation runs have detected 90 events. Most of the events come from the black hole binary systems including some special signals which consist of the merging of two neutron stars, the first signal with a big mass difference, and the signal from a black hole binary system with more than 150M_sun. The current detector is mostly sensitive for compact binary coalescence (CBC) such as binary black holes and neutron star-black hole. As two compact objects are closer to each other, they lose energy by radiating gravitational waves, reducing their relative distances, and finally merging. In this process, the gravitational waveform generated from the inspiral phase can be described theoretically by adopting the post-Newtonian (pN) method. In this thesis, we simulate gravitational waves emitted from binary black holes, neutron star-black hole binary systems by making used of TaylorF2 and TaylorF2Ecc. Gravitational wave data analysis is performed by choosing Bayesian inference based on simulated waveforms. The TaylorF2Ecc waveform model used in this work is considered as a new waveform in the LIGO Algorithmic Library (a software for gravitational wave data analysis in LIGO Scientific Collaboration), and the theoretical waveform is calculated by taking the eccentricity correction terms up to 3pN. It is noted that our model was implemented and reviewed by the LSC. In this study, the eccentricity of the gravitational wave source is measured through the MCMC parameter estimation when using a more realistic gravitational waveform, the TaylorF2Ecc wave model. We determine systematic errors caused by choosing circular waveform for an eccentric signal. We remind the reader that the MCMC parameter estimation is a time-consuming and has a limitation for carrying out fast estimation. Therefore, we introduce Particle Swarms Optimization (PSO) technique to overcome these difficulties. Explicitly, we have adopted a PSO algorithm for gravitational wave data analysis, showing that it is regarded as an efficient method to find the optimal parameter values. We have made further improvements on the PSO algorithm.
