The cultural products commercialized and developed by the museum reflect the long history of each country and serve to promote the development of the museum by turning intangible culture into tangible products by commercializing various cultural elements. About 1.2 million cultural products from the commercialization of National Museum of Korea were sold in 2016, with sales from online shops rising 40% on-year. In addition, the Palace Museum of China and the National Museum of Korea arere presentative museums of each country, exhibiting and selling various creative commercialization cultural products developed by the museum itself, along with artifacts from the collection to the public. Commercialization of The Palace Museum of China began developing cultural products in earnest in 2014, with sales of cultural products reaching 1.5 billion yuan(26 billion won) in 2017. just three years later. As such, museum commercialized cultural products are increasingly an important part of the museum's profits and contribute to supplementing the museum's finances. As a result, the importance of cultural products in the commercialization of museum management is increasing day by day. In response, this study sought to develop the commercialization strategies of cultural products in museums between the two countries by comparing and analyzing the commercialization strategies of cultural products between the National Museum of Korea and the Palace Museum. To this end, the difference between the cultural products of the National Museum of Korea and the Palace Museum was analyzed through the analysis of marketing mix(4P) strategies such as product, price, place and promotion. The results of the study are as follows. In terms of products, commercialization of the Palace Museum tends to value strategies for partnerships with other companies, but commercialization of the National Museum of Korea focuses on developing its own products by focusing mainly on ‘pre-planned cultural products'. In terms of price, the commercialization cultural products of the National Museum of Korea are priced higher than those of the general product line. This seems to be intended to promote psychological satisfaction and cultural value differentiation of products that customers have when purchasing museum cultural products using a high-price strategy. On the contrary, commercialization of the Palace Museum is sold at a relatively low price compared to similar products on the market. This is analyzed as a strategy adopted by the Palace Museum to increase its market share. In terms of place, commercialization of the Palace Museum uses various e-commerce to sell cultural products, while commercialization of the National Museum of Korea uses a strategy of focusing on sales through certain e-commerce companies In addition, the Palace Museum is located at the entrance to the main gate, but the National Museum of Korea's offline cultural merchandise store is installed inside the National Museum of Korea. In terms of promotion, commercialization of the Palace Museum mainly utilizes internet social media commercialization of strategies, while also using a method of promoting a package of ‘bok-pocket' packages. On the other hand, commercialization of the National Museum of Korea uses the method of developing cultural products by gathering creative ideas of people's active cultural products through a museum cultural product contest every year. This study is meaningful in examining the differences between the commercialization methods of the two museums by presenting examples of commercialization of the museum's cultural products at the National Museum of Korea and the Palace Museum, and giving new implications to the development of cultural products in commercialization of museums in Korea and China.
