This study aims to explore how the performance is structured in drama therapy and how the therapeutic function occurs in the entire process up totheperformance. For this study, first, ‘presentness: identity recovery,’ ‘performativity: self-awareness,’ and ‘transformability: aesthetic experience’ were first derivedas thehealing components of modern performing arts. Presentness, a concept of performativity derived from performance, means that actions can contribute to identity recovery by forming the identity-meaning of the subject. The actor as the subject of the act and the audience as the subject of perception simultaneously exist, and performativity occurs while interacting with each other. At this time, the audience is transformed from a passive existence to an active participant and becomes an actor. The audience perceives the actor's body, and what is perceived is recognized as an emotion through the process of signification. As a result, the audience embodies the physical expression of emotions and develops a new awareness of the world and oneself. This is transformation, and it is the process of aesthetic experience. Therefore, the healing component of performing art is that the restoration of the identity of presentness, self-awareness of performance, and aesthetic experience of transformability harmonize, leading to healing and recovery due to changes in new perceptions and experiences.Next, the healing play model was categorized into two, audience participatory performance and therapeutic theatre, to examine what they are. For the former, Schechner's environmental theatre, Boal's forum theatre, and Jonathan Fox's playback theatre were examined. As a result, it was observed that these threeperformance types allow the audience to participate in the play as an independent being actively and that direct encounters and communication within the play are used as a fundamental healing method. In addition, as for therapeutic theater, theatrotherapy and therapeutic theatre, theatre of spontaneity and theatre of self-expression, self-revelatory performance and ritual drama therapeutic performance of performative drama therapy model, autobiographica therapeutic performance were examined. It was found that these performances consisted of a process in which the participant produced and performed a performance directly related to their own life, and as a result, the participant experienced a healing experience while experiencing a new insight intolife. Then, the actual performance cases of drama therapy were divided into a healing play and a therapeutic theatre. In the former, audience-oriented performances and actors and audience-oriented performances were examined, and in the latter, participant-oriented performances such as one-man plays, autobiographical performances, and theaterfestivals wereexamined. In , an audience-centered healing theatre, the audience could experience 'performativity' as an active role in the flow of pre-experience-theatergoing-post-experience, 'presentness' through first-person individual recognition again after the process from first-person individual recognition to third-person universal recognition, and 'transformability' that recognizes their roles, emotions, and situations and restores their identity. In "A Woman's Story - A Mother's Heart," a healing theatre centered on actors and audiences, it was confirmedthat both the experienceas an actor and the audience's experience were achieved. Through the workshop, the actor played the role of the protagonist of the healing theatre as a participant in drama therapy, and the audience played the role of active participants in the pre-work-theatergoing-post-work similar to 《Chul Soo Young-hee 1318》 Here, as both emotions toward a good mother and a bad mother are expressed in the theater space, the presentness and transformability of facing, comforting, and healing the wounded child themselves took placeas a transferphenomenon. In participant-centered drama therapy, therapeutic theater was divided into individual cases, small group cases, and large group cases as part of a long-term project. In “Fly, Again,” a therapeutic theater in the form of a one-person play conducted as an individual case, the participant actively performed three roles: a director, a playwright, and an actor, experiencing transformability through solving problems and expanding roles in the process of success-frustration-overcoming-challenge. In the autobiographical performance of the group case, 《Black Wall · Me&World Connecte d》, theparticipants restoredtheirprideandtrust by experiencing life changes by creatively transforming their traumatic experiences while playing the roles of a playwright, director, actor, and audience. 《The World I Live In》, a therapeutic theater in the form of a theater festival, is a large-scale, long-term work to recover adolescents at risk for suicide. Participants discovered the meaning of life by transforming themselves from marginalized people into protagonists who make their own voices while performing the roles of co-director, playwright, actor, andaudienceof thetherapeutic theater. This study has the following significance. First, the audience-participatory healing theatre and theater therapy work process was conducted according to the performance format, in which the audience could find and face their own problems and clues to solve them while watching theperformance. Second, it is classified as a therapeutic theater that focuses on the change and recovery of participants, and within it, performativity, presentness, and transformability, which are the healing properties of the performance, satisfy a sense of achievement and desire and increase the quality of life while giving mental and emotional satisfaction through the restoration of the identity of the audience and participants, self-awareness andaesthetic experience.
