The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics and strengths of non-face-to-face drama therapy to utilize them. Of the characteristics of non-face-to-face theater therapy, the most characteristic feature is the inability to meet in person. Therefore, this study focused on the recognition and utilization of the body revealed on the screen to find out whether the meeting of the therapist and participant is possible for the treatment through the-body in non-face-to-face drama therapy. To this end, Merlo-Fonty's body philosophy was reviewed in terms of 'The intertwining of the body and the world (Chiasme),' 'Experienced space,' 'The reversibility of the duality of the body,' 'New Body schema,' 'Tactile experience through the gaze, and the study of body perception in theatrical therapy was examined from the perspective of 'Meeting through the body,' 'Relationship between dramatic space and body,' and 'Role expressed through the body.' Based on this, the findings of examining the relationship between the body-screen, body-space, and body-bodyinnon-face-to-facedrama therapy areasfollows. First, non-face-to-face drama therapy features 'meeting through a two-dimensional screen,' 'screen composition equally divided into N,' 'drama therapy in each individual's private space,' and 'connection throughdigitaldevices.' Second, the reality of meeting through the screen should be recognized in the relationship between the body and the mutual exchange of body information on the screen. At this time, the reality of the meeting is possible by the characteristics of the body, and the recognition of one's own body through the screen is related to Merleau-Ponty's 'reversibilityofthedualityofthebody.' Third, the treatment space of non-face-to-face drama therapy is a personal space and screen, which is essential to set boundaries to recognize it as a safe space. Awareness of 'here and now' by exploring the relationship between the body and the screen effectively promotes spontaneity, and recognizing and utilizing each person's personal space as an 'experienced space' in which to live becomes a unique strength of non-face-to-face drama therapy. In the meantime, the relationship between the therapist's body, personal space, and the screen was examined in the context of Merlo-Fonty's 'space experiencedbythebody.' Fourth, essential factors in therapeutic encounters between the therapist and the participant's body on the screen include resonance due to the therapist's dynamic body expression, 'chia sme' as 'l'etretre aumonde' by the therapist's gaze, and 'visual touch' as sensorystimulation byimagination. A survey was conducted on therapists and participants who experienced non-face-to-face drama therapy to verify this consideration. As a result, the importance of the role of the therapist was confirmed because the therapist's body expression and gaze quality, personal space image, and location on the screen had a significant influence on the participants, showing the same recognition as the researcher's consideration in terms of reality and interchangeability. The safety of the personal space and the effectiveness of the separated screen composition were perceived negatively, and creating a unique treatment environment was an essential factor because it was indispensable to enhancing the participants' spontaneity and setting the therapeutic boundary. In addition, the awareness of the experience of sensory stimulation by imagination was low, indicating that the development of a non-face-to-facedrama therapy programwasmorenecessary. Based on the multilateral consideration and survey results, the unique strengths of non-face-to-face drama therapy were derived. They are 'equal presence due to equal screen composition,' 'self-directed selection of therapeutic environment,' 'body and space in a new context,' 'more powerful internalization,' 'a net function of self immersion, 'exploration and transformation of personal space.'. These are strengths resulting from the unique therapeutic environment of non-face-to-face drama therapy, the personal space of the participant, and the effect of immersion, and non-face-to-face drama therapy can have strengths at different points from a face-to-facemethod. In addition, program development and metaverse drama therapy were suggested to utilize and expand the strengths of non-face-to-face drama therapy. In the program using body recognition, first, boundaries are set for creating a therapeutic environment suitable for the non-face-to-face method. Second, increase spontaneity by exploring the relationship between the body, screen, and space. Third, the fixed body image is easily transformed by utilizing the characteristics of digital media that are easy to transform. Fourth, through this, alternative and positive self-images are discovered. On the other hand, in programs that utilize stories and digitalmedia, First, a therapeutic trust relationship is formed using the digital medium's sensory stimulation elements. Second, a fantasy narrative structure suitable for non-face-to-face is used. Third, the role experience of the story satisfies the fundamental need. Fourth, one finds the power to transform our everyday reality through this. Finally, by recording and watching the drama scene, one becomes an audienceandreflectsonhimselfagain. Another possibility of non-face-to-face drama therapy is metaverse drama therapy. Drama therapy combined with Virtual Worlds can experience maximized freedom of imagination and reflect on reality, recognize it anew, and transform it based on experience in the virtual world. Metaverse drama therapy combines drama therapy with augmented reality, which is most suitable for body recognition and utilization. In augmented reality drama therapy, reality can be viewed anew with an amplified sense as images of virtual and real overlap, which allows one to react differently than usual and change the way one'sbodyandtheworldrelatetoeachother. In order to prepare for the ever-evolving digital culture, this study carefully analyzed various factors revealed in the relationship between the body, space, and each other on the screen to explore the unique characteristics and strengths of non-face-to-face drama therapy in detail, suggesting an expansion plan for non-face-to-face drama therapy.
