The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of knee joint injury on the bio mechanical factors of the seoi-naga motion of judo athletes. Thirty male and female university judo athletes participated as the study subjects, and they were divided into 15 subjects with or without injury in the group based on the presence or absence of injury to the right knee joint during the past 3 years. Using 7 infrared cameras (MX-Motion Capture Camera, Vicon, UK; Sampling Rate: 150 Hz) and a ground reaction forcer (AMTI OR6-7, AMTI Inc., Watertown, MA, USA; Sampling Rate: 1000 Hz) Kinematic and kinetic data of seoi-nage motion were collected. Torso and lower extremity joint angle and angular velocity, ground reaction force, and - 67 -95% confidence ellipse area factors of COM and COP were analyzed. Independent samples t-test was performed using IBM SPSS 24.0 (Armonk, New York, USA) with the results extracted from subjects in the experience and non-experienced groups of knee joint injuries ( ).The following conclusions were reached.During the seoi-nage in the and the attacker’s( ) center of gravity must be lower than opponent( ). The flexion movements of the ankle, knee, and hip joint, as well as the rotational motions of the pelvis and upper trunk, were reduced by judo athletes' knee joint injuries. The motion conducts the seoi-nage on the opponent by extending the lower extremity joints while in touch with the ground during the step of completing the technique. At this time, the ground reaction force generated by strongly pushing the ground with both feet is used as an external force to perform the seoi-nage. In this regard, it was found that, as compared to the non-experienced knee joint injury group, the judo players in the knee joint injury experience group did not use the ground reaction force and ground free torque elements in completing the seoi-nage. In addition, the experience of knee joint injury showed an increase in the 95% confidence ellipse area variables of the COP that determine the dynamic stability of the body, and it was found that the dynamic stability of the body during the seoi-nage was reduced. Therefore, it is concluded that judo athletes' experience with knee joint ailments influences the kinematic parameters that influence their ability to complete the seoi-nage.
