This study analyzed and presented the results of two papers on intervention variables that affect the promotion of physical activity in ADHD children and parents and how physical activity participation affects the psychology of ADHD children and parents. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to verify whether parental participatory physical activity programs are effective in positively improving cognitive (attention, execution function), emotional (anxiety, depression), behavior (social skills, physical activity level) of mothers raising ADHD children. To achieve the purpose of this study, a total of 52 elementary school children (26 children) and mothers (26) who were diagnosed with ADHD were recruited as participants, and 13 experimental groups and 13 control groups were randomly assigned (RCT) to conduct physical activity programs (aerobic exercise, manipulative exercise) once a week, 90 minutes for 12 weeks. The following are three studies. The first study analyzed data through 2×2 repeated measures two-way analysis of variance for the purpose of examining whether a parent-participation physical activity program was effective in improving the cognition, emotion, and behavior of children with ADHD. The main effect of time for selective attention, self-control, and sustained attention all increased statistically significantly (p<.001), and the interaction effect between time and group for self-control was statistically significant (p<.001) ). In terms of executive function, the main effect of time was statistically significantly improved in words, colors, and color word scores (p<.001). Anxiety and depression significantly decreased over time (p<.001), and the interaction effect showed a significant level (p=.019, p=.049). Social skills increased statistically significantly over time (p<0.001), and physical activity levels were statistically significant for time (p<.001), group (p=.002), and interaction effects for low, medium, and high intensity. increased significantly (p=.012). The level of medium- and high-intensity physical activity also showed a significant increase depending on time (p<.001) and group (p=.022). The second study verified the effect of a parent participation physical activity program on the emotions and behavior of parents of children with ADHD. Parenting stress significantly decreased over time (p<.001), and there was a significant group*time interaction effect (p=.031). Anxiety and depression significantly decreased over time (p=.003, p<.001), and a significant interaction effect (p=.006, p=.007) was found. Neither mother's physical activity level was statistically significant. In conclusion, the parental participatory physical activity program is first effective in positively improving the perception (attention, execution function), emotion (depression, anxiety), and behavior (social skills, physical activity level) of ADHD children. Second, it is effective in positively improving the emotions of mothers raising children with ADHD (parenting stress, anxiety, and depression). However, since the intervention program of this study has several limitations as a way to promote mothers' physical activity level, an approach to additional interventions such as education that emphasizes the importance of physical activity will be required.
