1993년 8월 1일부터 1994년 7월 31일까지 포항시 변두리 주택단지내에 1개소, 인근 야산에 1개소파리 유인통을 설치해서 파리류를 채집한 결과 23종 18,037개체가 채집되었다. 과별 포획 개체수는 검정파리과가 전체 파리의 69.1%, 집파리과가 17.2%, 쉬파리과가 13.7%로 나타났다. 2개 트랩에서 채집된 전체 파리 가운데 우점종은 5종으로서 그 순위는 Calliphora lata, Lucilia caesar, Aldrichina grahami, Hydrotaea dentipes, Chrysomyia pinguis 였고 이들 5종은 전체 파리의 70%를 차지했다. 계절적인 발생소장은 발생시작이 3월초였고 종료가 12월말이었다. 월별발생 최대 피크는 수컷이 1994년 4월과 5월이었고 암컷은 1993년 11월과 1994년 4월이었다. 대체로 수컷과 암컷의 피크는 비슷한 점을 보였다. 계절적인 발생소장에서 포획 개체수의 증감과 종의 증감은 비슷한 양상을 보임에 따라 이 두 사이가 상관관계가 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 중요종 10종에 대한 발생소장을 비교한 결과 종마다 각각의 특성을 나타내었다.

In the prevalence of the total from beginning of March to the end of December, the peaks of the male appeared in April and May, and those of female in April and November. The pattern of the trap which was set in a residental area was almost same with the trap which was set in a small moutain near to the residental area. So, it considered that the environment of the residental area was affected by the surrounding small moutains. The correlation between the total number of fly individuals and that of species collected with two traps was found to be very close. The characteristics of five predominant species in the collection were summarized, and their seasonal prevalence and monthly change in the composition of flies collected at each trap were also compared.
