초등학교 저학년 학부모 170명(85쌍)을 대상으로 성지식과 성교육에 대한 인식 및 실태를 비교하기 위하여 조사, 분석한 결과는? 초등학교 저학년 학부모들의 성지식 전체에 대한 점수에서 아버지 27.74±4.94점, 어머니 28.62±4.70점으로 부모 간에 차이는 없었으나, 성지식은 어머니의 경우 직업, 교육수준, 가정의 월 소득과 관련이 있었다. 부모 모두 성교육의 필요성은 높게 인지하고 있으나 가정에서 어머니가 아버지에 비해 자녀 성교육을 위해 적극적인 태도를 가지고 있고, 성교육도 많이 실시하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
