본 연구는 한국의 대학도서관에서 리에종서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 리에종사서 교육훈련 프로그램의 모형을 개발하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 문헌연구와 해외 설문조사를 통해 수집된 교육훈련 현황과 교육내용 사례를 기초 데이터로 하여 모형안을 개발하였고, 전문가 인터뷰와 사례 분석을 실시하여 개발된 모형안의 적용가능성을 검토하여 최종안을 완성하였다. 연구결과 대학도서관의 리에종사서에게 필요한 핵심능력을 제시하였고, 이를 습득할 수 있도록 각 업무 능력별로 모듈을 구성하여 학습활동을 위한 기본과제 심화과제 참고자료 및 워크시트를 제공하는 가이드라인을 작성하였다.
