생체를 모방하여 로봇의 이동성을 향상시키려는 시도로 무엇이 있는가? | 최근에는 생체를 모방하여 로봇의 이동성을 향상시키려는 시도가 많이 있으며, 이것은 자연에 가장 잘 적응한 형태인 생체에서 우리가 미처 생각하지 못하는 좋은 아이디어들을 얻을 수 있기 때문이다. 바퀴벌레의 다리 움직임을 모방한 RHex [1], 개를 모방한 Big dog [2], 개구리의 점핑 메커니즘을 모방한 Grillo [3], 도마뱀의 움직임을 모방한 Salamender [4] 등 생체의 이동 메커니즘을 모방한 연구가 세계각지에서 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 특히 본 연구는 정찰을 위한 소형 로봇들이 그 크기로 인해 이동성이 제약되는 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 생물체 중 험지에서도 빠르고 안정적으로 움직일 수 있는 지네를 모티브로 이 연구를 진행하였다. |
