소성온도가 증가함에 따라 가마 내 온도 변화는 컸으며 가마 내 기물의 위치에 따라 소성온도가 다소 달라졌을 것으로 판단되는 이유는? | 벽돌이 대부분 가마에서 소성되므로 한 가마에서 제작된 벽돌이라도 온도 차이가 존재한다. 특히 송산리 벽돌은 6세기 전후에 제작되었으므로 가마에서 열평형을 유지하기 어려웠을 것으로 생각된다. 양산 호계동 삼국시대 가마를 복원 및 재현한 실험 연구(Cho and Hong, 2010)에서는 가마 내 연도와 소성부에 온도계를 4개를 설치하여 1시간마다 온도를 측정하였다. 가마 내 온도가 400~800℃일 때 소성부 바닥과 천정 사이에는 최대 40℃, 화구와 연도사이에는 최대 260℃의 온도 차이가 발생하였고, 가마 내 온도가 800~1,200℃가 되었을 때 화구와 연도부의 온도차는 최대 300℃ 이상으로 화구 온도가 높아졌다. |
