본고에서는 초다시점 디스플레이 기반 시각 피로에 대한 연구 동향 및 초다시점 디스플레이 의 최근 기술에 대해 기술한다. 초다시점 디스플레이는 1990년대 후반 일본에서 처음 제안한 이후 일본 및 한국에서 활발한 연구가 진행 중이다. 초다시점 디스플레이는 관찰자의 동공에 두 시점 이상의 영상을 제공하는 방식으로 기존의 다시점 디스플레이에 비해 보다 자연스러운 영상을 관찰자에게 제공하고자 하는 방식이다. 따라서 시점 영상 사이의 간격이 넓은 다시점 디스플레이와는 달리 시각피로를 경감시킬 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에, 최근 초다시점 디스플레이 기반 시각 피로에 대한 임상적 실험을 통해 이에 대한 실험적 근거를 살펴보고 연구 동향을 알아본다.
