한부모가족은 대체로 모자가족으로 인식되는 경향이 있었고, 사회적 관심도 모자가족에게 집중되면서 어떤 문제가 발생하고 있는가? 지금까지 한부모가족은 대체로 모자가족으로 인식되는 경향이 있었고, 사회적 관심도 모자가족에게 집중되어 왔다. 따라서 증가하고 있는 부자가족에 대한 특화된 서비스나 지원 정책은 부재한 실정이며, 모자가족과 부자가족을 동일한 한부모가족으로 보는 사회적 관념은 바뀌지 않고 있다. 가족문화에서 자녀양육은 여성의 역할로 수용되어 가족해체 시 자녀양육을 여성이 맡는 사례가 높았기 때문이다.
