Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medical treatment for viral warts. Methods : All patients were treated by Bojungikki-tang gami. One of them was treated with only herbal medicine. The others were treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, sweet bee venom acupuncture and moxibustion. To evaluate the results of these treatments, we observed condition of the patients and took the photos of lesions. Results : After Korean medical treatment, the viral warts of all patients remarkably disappeared and there have been no recurrence at all. Conclusions : We suggest that viral warts can be treated by Korean medical treatment.

① 내복약 : 舌淡白, 脈細緩하여 氣虛로 변증하여 補中益氣湯加味方을 1일 2회 복용하도록 하였다(Table 1).
補中益氣湯은 元氣虛損, 形神勞役, 勞倦脾傷, 內傷勞役, 飮食失調, 中氣下陷, 陰中發熱, 身熱而煩, 脈洪大而虛 등의 증상에 쓰이는 처방으로19) 혈청 내 항체 수 증가와 림프구 증식에 유의하다는 연구 결과도 있다20). 본 증례의 환자들은 대부분 비기허로 변증되었기에 補中益氣湯加味方으로 치료하였다.
補中益氣湯의 黃芪는 益衛固表, 生肌하며 白朮, 人蔘은 益氣補脾하고 升麻는 陽明의 淸氣를 升하고 柴胡는 少陽의 淸氣를 升하며 陳皮는 氣機를 調理하며 當歸는 和血養陰한다. 여기에 淸熱利濕 작용이 있으며 전통적으로 사마귀에 널리 쓰였으며, 면역기능 강화에 효과적인 薏苡仁21) 을 君藥으로 하였다.
이는 한의학의 병리기전 중 하나인 正氣存內邪不可干과도 관련이 깊다. 이에 본 증례에서는 虛證에 널리 쓰이는 補中益氣湯加味方과 함께 sweet BV, 뜸, 침치료 등을 시행하였다.

사진을 활용하여 평가하였다. 더불어 사진 사용에 대한 동의는 서면으로 이루어졌으며 개인식별이 불가능한 상태임을 고지하도록 하였다.

성능/효과

사마귀 환자 5례에 대하여 한약 치료 및 봉약침 치료, 침 치료, 뜸 치료 등을 실시한 결과 긍정적인 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 추후 이를 기초로 하여 체계적인 임상연구를 통하여 사마귀 치료에 대한 한방 치료 영역을 확대하고, 한방 치료의 근거를 마련해야 할 것으로 사료된다.
상기의 방법으로 짧게는 6주, 길게는 28주의 치료를 통해 사마귀가 눈에 띄게 호전됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

후속연구

사마귀 환자 5례에 대하여 한약 치료 및 봉약침 치료, 침 치료, 뜸 치료 등을 실시한 결과 긍정적인 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 추후 이를 기초로 하여 체계적인 임상연구를 통하여 사마귀 치료에 대한 한방 치료 영역을 확대하고, 한방 치료의 근거를 마련해야 할 것으로 사료된다.
