SLAP 병번 초기 상완이두근-관절와순 복합체가 불안정한 경우 효과가 좋은 치료법은 무엇인가? 최근 치료 경향에 따르면 SLAP 병변의 수술적 치료는 병변의 유형에 따라서 기법이 다르며, 가장 많은 제2형 SLAP는 현재 봉합나사못을 이용한 시술이 주로 시행되고 그 경과가 꾸준히 보고되고 있지만 시술방법에 대해서는 논란이 많다. 특히 병변 초기에 상완이두근-관절와순 복합체가 불안정한 경우에는 단순 제거술보다 수술적 봉합술이 좋은 결과가 나타난다. 최근에는 운동선수가 아닌 40세 이상 환자의 SLAP는 연령 및 반복 사용으로 인한 퇴행성 병변으로 인식되고 있으며, 관절경 시술 치료방법에 대한 불확실성이 증가하고 있는 상태이다18,19) .
