Study on the Development of Fire Investigation Techniques and Ignition Probability Experiments of Low-Voltage Electrolytic Condenser원문보기

In this study, a reproduction experiment of ignition probability was conducted using five kinds of low-voltage electrolytic condensers(6.3 V, 10 V, 16 V, 25 V, and 50 V $1000{\mu}F$). When 1.14 times bigger voltage was applied to the low-voltage electrolytic condensers, the temperature of the condensers was 34 degrees and when 1.70 to 2.22 times bigger voltage was applied, the maximum temperature was between 52 degrees and 55 degrees. Therefore, the temperature rose in proportion to the applied voltage and there was a high ignition possibility. Also, the temperature of the exterior and bottom of the low-voltage electrolytic condensers was nearly 36 degrees, but the temperature of the upper safety valve was 30 degrees when there was a breakdown and the heating temperature increased in proportion to the current amount. The burning form by the external flame of the de-energized low-voltage electrolytic condensers was internal pressure expansion and the pole plate and the insulator projected outward. In addition, the upper safety case was broken and there was a small amount of soot. When physical damage was applied, the electrolyte spouted in the direction of physical damage.
