This study was conducted to examine the influence of personal characteristics of infant-toddler and mother, social support and mother-child interaction on mother-child attachment. A descriptive study was implemented, and data were gathered from March 1 to September 30, 2016. The subjects were 215 mothers whose children were in infancy or toddlers. A survey was conducted with self-administered questionnaires regarding general characteristics, social support, mother-child interaction and attachment. SPSS 24.0 was used for descriptive statistics, intergroup comparisons of average scores, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Statistically significant differences in average attachment scores according to gender (t=3.200, p<0.002), age (t=4.037, p<0.001) and temperament (F=4.614, p<0.011) were observed among the characteristics of infant-toddlers, as well as according to age (F=18.028, p<0.001) and academic credentials (F=4.241, p<0.016) among the characteristics of mother. Attachment was correlated with social support (r=0.507, p<0.001) and with mother-child interaction (r=0.571, p<0.001). The factors that affected attachment were mother-child interaction (${\beta}=0.361$, p<0.001), social support (${\beta}=0.309$, p<0.001), age (under the age of 30)(${\beta}=-0.370$, p<0.001) and marriage duration (less than 10 years)(${\beta}=-0.179$, p<0.033). Overall, the results indicate that interaction programs that bolster social support and mother-child interactions that exert a crucial influence on attachment should be developed.

이 중 219부의 설문지를 수거하였으며, 불확실한 답을 한 4명의 자료를 제외한 최종 215명의 자료를 분석하였다. 자료는 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 영유아 특성, 어머니 특성, 생태학적 특성,모아상호작용과 애착을 조사하였다. 영유아 특성으로 영유아의 성별, 연령, 건강상태와 기질을, 어머니 특성으로 성별, 교육수준과 직업유무를 조사하였다.

대상 데이터

탈락률 10%를 고려하여 220명에게 설문지를 배부하였다. 본 연구에서는 연구에 참여를 수락하고 자료수집에 응한 대상자는 총 219명이며 불확실한 답을 한 4명의 자료를 제외한 최종 215명의 자료를 분석대상으로 하였다.
본 연구의 대상자는 영유아기의 자녀가 있는 어머니로 일반적 질환이나 신체적 기형이 없는 자, 다문화가정 아닌 자, 의사소통이 가능하고 연구 참여에 동의한 자였다. 대상자 선정기준에 부합하는 경우 연구 대상자에게 연구의 목적과 방법, 연구 참여에 대한 익명성 보장, 자발적인 연구 참여 동의와 거부, 중도포기 가능성, 발생 가능한 이익과 불이익 등을 포함하는 내용을 구두와 서면으로 설명하고 자발적인 동의서를 받았다.

데이터처리

2) 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 사회적 지지, 모아상호작용, 애착은 t-test, ANOVA로 분석하였고, 사후 검증을 위해 Scheffe test로 분석하였다.
3) 대상자의 사회적 지지, 모아상호작용, 애착간의 상관관계를 파악하기 위해 Pearson’s correlation coefficient로 분석하였다.
4) 애착에 영향을 미치는 변수를 파악하기 위해 단계별 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.

이론/모형

본 연구에 사용한 측정도구는 Barnard[13]의 Nursing Child Assessment 도구 중 출생에서 3세까지의 아동과 어머니의 상호작용을 측정하는 Teaching Scale을 참조하여 Im[14]이 개발하여 사용한 도구 30문항을 사용하였다. 각 문항은 5점 리커트 척도를 사용하였고, 점수가 높을수록 모아상호작용이 높음을 의미한다.
사회적 지지의 측정은 Park[12]이 개발한 척도로 정서적(6문항), 정보적(5문항), 물질적(4문항) 그리고 평가적(1문항) 지지로 구성되었다. 각 문항은 5점 리커트 척도를 사용하였고, 점수가 높을수록 사회적 지지가 높음을 의미한다.

성능/효과

본 연구결과 애착에 영향을 미치는 요인은 양육자의 특성인 연령, 결혼기간과 사회적 지지 그리고 모아상호작용인 것으로 나타났으며, 이들 영향요인들에 의한 애착행위의 전체 설명력은 43.6%이었다.
본 연구에서 다중회귀분석 결과 어머니의 연령과 결혼기간이 애착에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 선행 연구에서는 어머니의 연령에 따른 애착행동에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타난 결과[25]와 어머니의 연령이 낮을수록 자녀발달을 위해 적극적으로 행동하며, 양육스트레스가 적은 것으로 나타난 결과[26]와는 차이가 있는 연구결과이다.
어머니가 자녀에게 형성하는 긍정적인 애착은 자녀의 건강한 성장발달을 위해 가장 중요한 역할을 하며, 애착은 단지 영유아와 어머니와의 긍정적인 애착관계 형성뿐만 아니라 가족의 행복에도 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 본 연구에서 애착에 중요한 영향을 미치는 요인으로연령, 결혼기간, 사회적 지지 및 모아상호작용이었으며, 특히, 사회적 지지와 모아상호작용은 애착을 높이는 가장 중요한 변수이었다. 애착을 높이기 위해서는 사회적 지지를 높일 수 있는 제도의 개선 및 모아상호작용 증진 프로그램의 개발이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

후속연구

모아애착행위를 증진시키기 위한 중재 프로그램을 마련하고 그 효과를 검증하는 연구가 필요하다. 둘째 영유아 어머니의 애착에 영향을 미치는 다양한 변인을 고려하고 구조모형을 통한 구체적인 영향요인을 함께 살펴보는 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 사회적 지지 체계 개선을 위하여 사회적 지지 제공자를 배우자, 가족, 친구 및 정부 등으로 구체화하여 분석하는 연구를 제언한다.
둘째 영유아 어머니의 애착에 영향을 미치는 다양한 변인을 고려하고 구조모형을 통한 구체적인 영향요인을 함께 살펴보는 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 사회적 지지 체계 개선을 위하여 사회적 지지 제공자를 배우자, 가족, 친구 및 정부 등으로 구체화하여 분석하는 연구를 제언한다.
본 연구 결과를 근거로 하여 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째. 모아애착행위를 증진시키기 위한 중재 프로그램을 마련하고 그 효과를 검증하는 연구가 필요하다. 둘째 영유아 어머니의 애착에 영향을 미치는 다양한 변인을 고려하고 구조모형을 통한 구체적인 영향요인을 함께 살펴보는 연구가 필요하다.
