사물인터넷 환경에서 사용되는 대표적인 무선통신기술로는 Wi-Fi와 블루투스를 들 수 있다. 대중화된 Wi-Fi에 비해 블루투스 기술은 Master/Slave 관계의 1:1 연결과 상대적으로 느린 전송속도, 제한된 연결범위 등으로 주로 음성기기 연결에 사용되고 있다. 블루투스는 2010년에 발표된 저전력 블루투스(BLE; bluetooth low energy) 이후 기존 블루투스 기술의 단점으로 지적된 몇 가지 아쉬운 기능을 개선하였으나 Wi-Fi를 대체할 수 있는 완전한 해결책이 되지 못했다. 본 논문은 BLE에서 브로드캐스팅(broadcasting)을 활용하여 일 대 일 연결 없이 데이터전송을 하는 방법을 제시하고 일 대 다 데이터전송 결과를 보였다. 본 고에서 제안하는 비(非)연결 데이터전송 방법은 일 대 다 데이터전달 및 재난네트워크 등 특수한 상황에서 활용될 수 있다고 사료된다.
