본 연구는 예비창업가의 학습된 무력감, 회복탄력성, 기업가정신 및 창업효능감의 인관관계를 규명하였다. 특히, 학습된 무력감과 창업효능감의 관계에서 회복탄력성과 기업가정신의 다중매개역할을 검증하였다. 경기도에 소재한 4년제 대학의 대학생 154명을 대상으로 한 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비창업가의 회복탄력성은 기업가정신과 창업효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 예비창업가들의 학습된 무력감은 기업가정신과 창업효능감에 부정적인 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 예비창업가의 회복탄력성은 학습된 무력감과 창업효능감의 관계에서 매개역할을 하였다. 넷째, 예비창업가의 기업가정신은 학습된 무력감과 창업효능감의 관계에서 매개역할을 하였다. 마지막으로 학습된 무력감과 창업효능감의 관계에서 회복탄력성과 기업가정신은 다중 매개역할을 하였다. 즉, 예비창업가들이 지각하는 높은 학습된 무력감은 대학생들의 회복탄력성과 기업가정신을 거쳐 결국 창업효능감을 감소시킨다는 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 이론적 및 실무적 시사점, 연구의 한계와 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

두 가지로 구분되는 학습된 무력감의 특징은 무엇인가? , 1978). 내적 무력감(internal helplessness)은 무기력한 상황에 직면한 개인의 특성에서 발생하게 된다. 내적 무력감은 낮은 유능감(self-esteem)과 관련된다. 이에 반해, 외적 무력감(external helplessness)은 회피할 수 없거나 해결할 수 없는 환경 그 자체이다. 학생들에게는 사회 및 학교 환경 등 환경적 요인이 중요한 외적 무력감으로 작용된다(최 정·현은민, 2018).
