초록
2025년에 초고령사회에 진입할 것으로 예측되고 있는 한국의 고령화 추세는 거스를 수 없는 현실이다. 더불어 시니어 돌봄을 지역사회에서 책임지는 커뮤니티케어에 대한 정책적, 사회적 요구가 확대됨에 따라 시니어 요양산업의 발전이 예상된다. 따라서 시니어 요양산업에 대한 혁신적 비즈니스모델을 제시한 'Driving Miss Daisy®'의 사례와 성공 요인을 살펴봄으로써, 한국 시니어 요양산업의 발전을 위한 시사점 및 한국 시장에의 적용 방안을 도출해보고자 하였다. 한국 시니어 요양산업의 발전을 위해서는 시니어에 대한 이해와 커뮤니티케어를 위한 인프라 구축, 그리고 전문 인력의 처우개선 등이 선행되어야 한다. 'Driving Miss Daisy®'의 한국 시장 적용 방안으로는 규제완화, 액티브시니어를 대상으로 하는 차별화된 서비스의 개발, 지역사회 내 기관과의 연계 시스템 구축, 대·중소기업 및 창업자 협력 모델구축 등의 필요성이 제시되었다.
