[국내논문] STEAM 캠프를 통한 영재학급 고등학생의 융합인재소양과 창의적 인재 역량 변화

미래의 과학기술 발전을 주도할 인재를 육성하기 위해 우리나라 교육부는 융합적 역량을 강조하고 있다. 융합인재교육(STEAM)은 과학기술에 대한 학생들의 흥미와 이해를 높이고 융합적 사고력과 문제해결력을 배양하는 데에 목적이 있다. 한편 영재학생 대상으로 진행되는 캠프는 생활 속에서 발견되는 문제를 해결하기 위한 산출물을 학생 스스로 계획하여 고안함으로써 미래 인재 역량을 함양하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 STEAM 기반의 캠프를 수행한 뒤 영재학급 고등학생의 융합인재소양과 창의적 인재 역량이 변화하였는지를 탐색하였다. 캠프는 프로젝트형 학생 중심의 산출물을 개발하는 과정으로 1박 2일간 광역시 소재 52개교 고등학교 영재학급 학생 517명에게 실시하였다. 캠프 실시 전과 후에 융합인재소양과 창의적 인재 역량 변화를 조사하였다. 연구 결과, STEAM 캠프를 통해 영재학급 고등학생의 융합인재소양과 창의적 인재 역량이 유의미하게 향상하였음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 융합인재소양의 창의, 존중, 소통 영역과 창의적 인재 역량의 사회적 특성 영역의 사회 가치 추구 요인을 제외한 모든 하위 요인이 높아졌다. 교육학적 함의를 논의하고자 한다.
