연구의 목적은 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나-19) 예방을 위한 마스크 사용에 따른 마스크 속 구강건강의 부정적 요인과 구강건강관리의 중요성에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 2021년 5월 3일부터 31일까지 전국에 있는 20~59세의 성인 232명을 대상으로 설문조사 후 통계분석 하였다. 마스크 선택은 남자 63.9%, 여자 61.3%로 남녀 모두 KF_94 마스크를 높게 선택하였으며 연령이 높을수록 KF_94 마스크를 선택하는 것으로 나타났다. 마스크 착용에 의한 자가 구강건조감과 구취에 대한 인식은 면 마스크 착용하는 군에서 구강건조를 높게 느끼는 것으로 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 마스크 종류는 구강건조감(r=.142, p<.05), 연령(r=.234, p<.01)과 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 마스크 착용시간은 연령(r=.158, p<.05)과 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었고, 직업에 따라서는 부적상관관계로 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의하였다(r=-.472, p<.01). 구강건조감은 구취(r=3.04, p<.01), 연령(r=.224, p<.01)과 통계적으로 유의한 정적상관관계를 보였다.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the negative factors of oral health in masks and the importance of oral health management according to the use of masks to prevent novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). From May 3 to 31, 2021, 232 adults aged 20 to 59 across the country were surveyed and statistically analyzed. As for the mask selection, 63.9% of men and 61.3% of women chose the KF_94 mask for both men and women, and it was found that the older they were, the more they chose the KF_94 mask. Self-recognition of dry mouth and bad breath due to wearing a mask showed that the group wearing a cotton mask felt high dry mouth, and there was a statistically significant difference. There was a significant positive correlation between mask type, dry mouth(r=.142, p<.05), and age(r=.234, p<.01). There was a significant positive correlation between mask wearing time and age(r=.158, p<.05), and it was found to be negatively correlated according to occupation, and was statistically significant(r=-.472, p< .01). Dry mouth had a statistically significant positive correlation with bad breath(r=3.04, p<.01) and age(r=.224, p<.01).

성능/효과

마스크 종류와 구강건조감(r=.142, p<.05)과 연령 (r=.234, p<.01)은 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었고, 구강 건조감은 구취(r=3.04, p<.01) 그리고 연령(r=.224, p<.01)과 통계적으로 유의한 정적상관관계를 보였다
본 연구에서는 마스크 사용이 생활화 되면서 마스크선택과 착용시간에 따라 구강건조 및 구취의 자각도가 상관관계가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 연구의 제한점으로는 일부 마스크 착용자 들만을 대상으로 한 연구결과로 일반화하여 해석하기에는 한계가 있다.
직업군에서는 학생 86.4%, 보건·서비스직 53.6%가 7시간 이상 마스크 착용한다고 응답하였으며, 교육·사무직 70.1%, 주부 75.8%, 무직 90%는 하루 평균 1~6시간 마스크를 착용 하는 것으로 나타났다.
코로나로 인하여 KF 마스크를 착용하는 사람들이 많아졌으며, 남자가 63.9%, 여자 61.3%가 KF_94 마스크 선택이 높게 나타났고, 연령대에서는 20~30대에서 55.3%, 40~50대에서 77.5%로 높은 선택률을 보였다. 직업에 따라서는 학생이 52.

후속연구

본 연구에서는 마스크 사용이 생활화 되면서 마스크선택과 착용시간에 따라 구강건조 및 구취의 자각도가 상관관계가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 연구의 제한점으로는 일부 마스크 착용자 들만을 대상으로 한 연구결과로 일반화하여 해석하기에는 한계가 있다. 향후 장기화 되고 있는 마스크 착용에 의한 구강건강의 문제와 구강건강 관리에 대한 다양한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.
