본 논문은 기존의 디자인 과정을 통한 결과물 도출이 아닌, 다양한 기법적 실험을 통해 얻어진 결과물을 조형물로 완성하는 것을 목표로 연구되었다. 이를 위해 우연적 곡선을 시각적으로 완성하는 것을 목적으로 우연적 곡선이 얻어질 수 있는 금속공예기법인 틀에 대고 때리기, 레이징, 프레스기법을 활용하여 우연적 곡선을 유도하는 실험을 진행하였다. 그 결과 가장 좋은 효과가 나타난 프레스를 활용한 다양한 압축방법을 통해 우연적 곡선을 적동과 황동을 사용하여 시각적으로 나타내고 이를 촛대로 완성하였다. 이를 통해 형태의 의미에 집중한 디자인방법이 아닌, 기법 중심의 조형방법론을 통해 결과물을 얻을 수 있는 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로도 계속해서 금속공예기법을 실험하고 이를 활용한 다양한 연구가 계속되기를 바란다.

To this end, for the purpose of visually completing the accidental curve, an experiment was conducted to induce accidental curves using hitting on a metal craft, raising, and press techniques in which accidental curves can be obtained. As a result, the accidental curve was visually represented using red copper and brass through various compression methods using the press, which showed the best effect, and was completed with a candlestick. Through this, it was possible to obtain results through a technique-oriented modeling methodology rather than a design method that focuses on the meaning of form. I hope that the metal craft techniques will continue to be experimented with and that various researches using them will continue in the future.
