최근 많은 발사체가 재사용 기술을 활용해 개발되어 발사체 시장에서 경쟁력을 확보하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근 활발하게 진행되고 있는 재사용 발사체의 세계적 개발 동향을 분석하고자, 개발되어 운용 중이거나 현재 개발 중인 재사용 발사체에 대해 조사하고, 국가별 개발 추세를 정리해 재사용 발사체 개발 동향을 분석하였다. 그 결과 다수의 재사용 발사체가 메탄을 연료로 사용하고, 3D 프린팅 기술을 활용했으며, 발사 후 수직 착륙 기술을 사용했음을 확인했다. 빠르게 변화하는 발사체 시장에서 경쟁력 확보를 위해 앞서 확인한 재사용 발사체 핵심기술에 연구 역량을 집중하는 것이 적절한 것으로 판단된다.
