본 연구의 목적은 회복탄력성이 정보처리에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위함이다. 본 연구에서는 남자 고등학생 39명을 무작위로 추출한 다음 회복탄력성 척도(KRQ-53) 점수에 따라 상위집단(13명), 중간집단(13명), 하위집단(13명)에 무선 할당하였다. 실험 과제는 단순반응시간, 선택반응시간-1, 그리고 선택반응시간-2 였다. 피험자가 과제를 실시하는 동안 Fp1, Fp2, F3, F4, Fz, Cz, Pz, C3 영역에서 사상관련전위(ERP)를 측정하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 첫째 세타파의 경우 중간집단이 상위 및 하위 집단보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 알파를 분석한 결과, 상위집단이 중간 및 하위집단보다 알파파가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 미드-베타파를 분석한 결과 하위 및 중간집단의 미드 베타파가 상위집단보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, P300 진폭은 선택반응시간-1에서 회복탄력성 중간집단이 상위 및 하위집단보다 높게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 회복탄력성 수준에 따라 정보처리가 다르게 나타난다는 것을 보여준다.
