The authors extend the previous studies to earthquake-type loadings and to saturated Ottawa sand at different densities and propose equations that predict the pore-pressure rise during earthquake-type loadings. The predicted and the measured pore pressures under earthquake-type shear stresses are compared, and a good correlation between the two is obtained.
