The objective of experiment was to investigate the effects of seeding dates on market value, vegetable soybean yield and growth characteristics of soybean variety, when soybean cultivated to making the utilization of the interior of a songpyon and boiled rice and beans in midwest region of korea. The field experiment treated with 5 levels of seeding dates was carried out at Yesan from 2003 to 2004 year. The days from seeding to flowering and harvesting were significant differences among seeding dates and varieties, were decreased with delay in seeding date. The days from seeding to flowering was the most short at Sunheukkong, but the days from seeding to harvesting was shorted in the order of Geomjeongkongl, Sunheukkong and Taeanjaerae. The stem length, number of branch per plant, number of node per plant and lodging index were decreased with delay in seeding date. Specially the stem length was the most decrease at seeding dates after May 20 and Geomjeongkongl. The number of podding per plant was significant differences among seeding dates, The highest number of podding per plant was obtained 99 at seeding date of April 20. The other seeding dates were tended similarly. The weight of 100 seed and the 2+3 seed ratio per pod were not significant differences among seeding dates. The 2+3 seed ratio per pod was the highest at Geomjeongkongl, the lowest Sunheukkong. The stem and pod weight were increased with early in seeding date, was highest at seeding date of April 20.
