Alterglobalization movements have developed wonderful transformative concepts such as commodification, commodity fetishism, decommodification, commons, direction action, networks, counter-hegemony etc. They are valuable contributions to the development of anti- and post-capitalist transformative politics. They highlight the aspects neglected or suppressed in the history of traditional Marxisms which have often prioritized the importance of the exploitation in the production process and the role of the organized labor and revolutionary party. However, it is questionable for some currents of alterglobalization movements, especially Autonomism and Keynesianism, to treat their favorite concepts as alien to or incompatible with classical Marxist tradition. Indeed, above concepts, essential to alterglobalization movements, are also central to Marxian critique of political economy and classical Marxist tradition as well. Nonetheless, these concepts should be properly configurated and placed in Marxian system of critique of political economy. If these concepts are privilegized, non-Marxian theorizations and practices are inevitable. Developing the central concepts of alterglobalization movements within Marxian conceptual system is indispensable for the movements to unite with the organized labor and the revolutionary politics for overthrowing and transcending capitalism.
