The followings are research results. First, in health fitness strength, the muscular strength of the upper body increased (15.59±2.61) than before (12.55±3.31). Likewise, the muscular strength of the lower body increased (13.18±2.63) than before (10.45±2.81) (p<.001). General endurance also increased (134.09±42.30) than before (123.73±33.02) but was not significant statistically. However, in consequence of flexibility test, the flexibility of the upper body increased (-9.25±10.78) than before (-12.55±11.53) and also that of the lower body increased (10.25±8.87) than before (7.64±8.01). Alacrity increased (8±56˝) than before (9.35˝±1.50˝), and also equilibrium increased (6.81˝±8.23˝) than before (4.71˝±5.95˝) (p<.001). Second, with regard to the quality of life, "accomplishment-satisfaction" increased (4.27±0.82) than before (3.15±0.85) and "acceptance-satisfaction" increased (3.23±1.21) than before (2.43±0.85) in the item of life satisfaction measurement (p<.05). In addition, mind, emotion and health fitness condition were measured with the result that comfortable emotion became higher (4.51±0.5) than before (4.03±0.67), and cognitive emotion (4.42±0.53, 4.18±0.72) and uncomfortable emotion (4.68±0.54, 4.06±0.94) did not show significant variances statistically. Perceived health fitness condition and self-respect were measured with the result that they did not show significant variances statistically. Regarding self-respect, positive items increased (4.05±0.75) than before (3.66±0.57) but significant variances were not observed statistically. On the other hand, negative items decreased (3.14±0.70) than before (3.49±0.66) as well as it showed a significant variance statistically (p<.05). The health promotion program for the aged is expected to be concretely applied in case that the gym-ball exercise program, carried out in this study, is applied to chronic patients with hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, stroke and otherwise and that the health fitness condition and life quality of the aged is studied.
