The purpose of this study is to examine into a change in kinematic variables of muscular strength and walking in Hemiplegic Stroke Patients according to before and after the elastic band and gym ball exercise. Accordingly, given summarizing the findings so far, those are as follows. First, after the elastic band and gym ball exercise, while having increased in the average speed of the center in a human body(p<.01), stride(p<.01), stride length(p<.01), walking interval(p<.01), and upper and lower axis in central movement(p<.01), it reduced in left and right axis in central movement(p<.05). Second, after the elastic band and gym ball exercise for 12 weeks, the muscular strength increased all in the external rotation of the shoulder in the affected part(p<.01), flexion of joints in elbow(p<.01), extension of joints in elbow(p<.01), flexion in the hip(p<.01), extension in the hip(p<.01), flexion in the knees(p<.01), extension in the knees(p<.01), and flexion in the ankle(p<.01). Also, it was indicated to have increased even in extension of shoulder in the normal part(p<.01), extension of joints in elbow(p<.01), extension in the hip(p<.01), flexion in the knees(p<.01), and flexion in the ankle(p<.01). Given synthesizing the above results, the elastic band and gym ball exercise for stroke patients was indicated to have big effect on strengthening muscular power even in the normal part as well as in the affected part. However, it is thought to have limitation to being conducive to enhancing ability of daily life by reducing difference in muscular strength between the affected part and the normal part. Accordingly, the more generalized result is thought to be likely to be possibly obtained given researching in the future by increasing number of cases in order to overcome this limitation and to perform the mutually comparative research on complex exercise in aquatic exercise and track exercise, independent aquatic exercise and track exercise.
