본 연구는 정신역동적 상담과정에서 내담자의 전이에 대한 숙련상담자와 초보상담자의 언어반응 양식이 어떻게 다른지를 언어반응의 차이를 분석함으로써 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구자는 정신역동적 상담문헌과 자료를 통해 실제 상담장면에서 가장 빈번하고 적합한 대표적인 전이상황을 뽑아서 내담자의 전이상황을 모의로 설정하여 설문지를 제작하고 숙련상담자 28명과 초보상담자 30명에게 설문조사하여 숙련상담자와 초보상담자간의 언어반응의 다양성과 유목사용에는 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다.
그 결과 숙련상담자는 초보상담자에 비해서 내담자가 전이를 보이는 상황에 대해서 나온 반응이 대체로 유사한 반면에 초보상담자는 숙련상담자에 비해 반응내용이 다양하였다. 그리고 숙련상담자와 초보상담자간에 질적인 차이가 있었으며 또한 초보상담자간의 언어반응뿐만 아니라 숙련 상담자간의 언어반응에 있어서도 개인차를 반영하고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 마지막으로 초보상담자 뿐만 아니라 숙련상담자도 언어반응 유목 9개 항목을 골고루 사용하지 않고 있었다.

The major purpose of this study was to investigate the verbal response difference of the experienced and novice counsellor on the client"s transference in the psychodynamic counselling processes. According to the psychodynamic theory, transference interpretation is the critical means for the change of the client and it closely relate with the counselling outcome. The transference is one of important variable in the counselling process, however, about the study of counsellor"s verbal response on the client"s transference is very few. This study clarifies the difference of response between the experienced and novice counsellor on the client"s transference through qualitative content analysis. For the purpose, this study used questionnaire and collected data from 28 experienced counsellors and 30 novices. The analysis of this study were as follows : The first analysis used the analysis of variety of response to investigate which group responded more variously on the response content of the experienced and novice counsellor about the each of same transference situation. The second analysis used Friedlander"s Counsellor Response Category, to compare different of response content of intra category between the experienced and novice counsellor. the content analysis of intra category was to clarify the qualitative difference of response between the experienced and novice counsellor. The result of this study are summarized as follows : First, the experienced"s response were similar to each other generally whereas, novice"s response content was various in the client"s transference situation. Second, significant difference was found in counsellor response mode between the novice and experienced :□□self-disclosure□□and □□direct guidance or advice□□were significantly frequent in novice comparing to the experienced, whereas, □□ information-seeking□□and□□reflection or exploring meaning□□were significantly frequent in the experienced comparing to novice. Third, the qualitative difference of response content between the experienced and novice counsellor was reflection and exploring-meaning, information-seeking, direct-guidance or advice and self-disclosure. This result indicate that generally the developmental levels of counsellors reflect their counselling experience level and also suggest that the curriculum of counsellor education emphasize on both clinical experience and supervision in a good graduate program. This study, in spite of restricted small number of cases, could be used in counsellor education and training. also this study can offer more concrete and realistic valued data that novice can refer to keep counselling effectively.
