Recently, as Internet becomes revitalized, an avata which takes the form of body and is materialized by the graphic is provided on a commercial purpose, which implies that the multiple identity constructed by individuals of itself is available in the simulated space such as Internet. This paper aims at studying the structure and characteristics of the multiple self of the avata in the simulated space according to Q methodology. The first type, an "unrealistic alternate self", pursues an erotic, sexy, and horror type, which is an interesting and exciting part through an avata in the simulated space. The second type, an "idealistic self", seeks after a utopia in the real world which looks stable and happy through an avata in the simulated space. The third type, a "realistic self", expresses the realistic state of affairs, which looks stable and beautiful, through an avata in the simulated space. The fourth type, a "realistic alternate self", pursues a realistic state which looks happy and comfortable but cannot be created in the real world through an avata. The fifth type, a "bizarre self", seeks after an avata which is contrast to or distorted against the reality in the simulated space. In the result, this paper classifies and subdivides various types of avata in the simulated space according to attribution by studying the multiple self and factor. Now it is proposed that further studies in related communication area on the motive to use an avata in the virtual space can provide a commercial clue and better life of us as well.
