This paper aims to study the producer of the Blue and White porcelains in the Giovanni Bellini’s 〈The Feast of the Gods〉 and discuss the cultural exchange among China and Islam, Italy from the 15th to the 16th century. With reference to the previous study, this paper investigates the painter and the orderer, the background, the painting style of this painting. This study involves the stylistic analysis of the porcelains of the Ming and the Islamic countries(Iran, Turkey) in the 15-16th centuries to find the production sites of the porcelains in the painting. Investigating the documents of the porcelain trade between China and Italy, and Alfonso’s intent to ask Giovanni Bellinni to paint, I propose Giovanni Bellini watched himself and painted the real Ming Blue and white porcelains in Venice that might be gifted from the Egyptian Sultans in the 15th century. Even the painting was finished in 1514 by Giovanni in Italy, there was no porcelain trade between China and Italy. Analysing the styles of the porcelain in the painting and the Ming porcelains excavated in the Islam countries and collected in the several museum, I suppose two of the three porcelains in the painting have stylistic similarity with the Ming porcelain of the Hongzhi era(1488-1505) excavated in the Syria. These porcelain should be exported from China to the Islam world in the 15th century and later gifted to the Italy. Italian consumers perceived the Ming Blue and white porcelain to be the best vessel and the symbol of high social level. Through the arrangement of Alfonso Duke, Bellini watched the Ming porcelain that might be the gifts of the Egypt Mamluck Sultans to the nobles in Venice and sketched for his painting. On the contrary, another blue ware in painting with symmetrical subordinate motifs and flower scrolls in more space, different from the Chinese style, was classified as the Islamic blue ware made in the 15th to the beginning of the 16th century. Because Islamic potters who copied Chinese Blue and White in the early period, began to make blue wares of their own style from the end of the 15th century. Iran and Turkey potters supplied the high-quality blue wares to the European consumers who wished to own the Chinese Blue and White but couldn’t.
