The fruit item according to claim 28, which is selected from the group of banana, mango, melon, citrus fruits, papayas, lychees, oranges, apples, apricots, avocados, bananas, cantaloupes, figs, guavas, kiwis, nectarines, peaches, pears, persimmons, plums, and tomatoes. 30. The fruit item according to claim 28, wherein the thickness of the coating is from 0.3 to 12 μm. 31.
