The tube holder of claim 2, wherein the widened distal body has a spring like property along at least one dimension configured to being forcibly pushed through the widened opening and for locking behind the body portion. 4. The tube holder of claim 1, wherein the rod member comprises a threaded rod. 6. The tube holder of claim 5, wherein at least one of the widened proximal body and the widened distal body includes a threaded locking cap such that rotation of the locking cap with respect to the threaded rod changes a distance between the widened proximal body and the widened distal body to clamp or release the attachment mechanism to or from the body portion. 7. The tube holder of claim 6, wherein the tube grasping mechanism comprises a widened end surface in which a middle opening is formed for receiving the rod member, wherein the rod member is rigidly connected to the widened distal body at the distal end, and wherein the widened proximal body includes the locking cap, such that the threaded rod passes through the elongated opening and the middle opening and is threadably connected to the locking cap. 8. The tube holder of claim 2, wherein the tube grasping mechanism comprises a widened end surface in which a middle opening is formed for receiving the rod member, wherein the widened end surface is for attaching to the body portion, and wherein the widened proximal body and the widened distal body sandwich between them the body portion and the widened end surface. 9. The tube holder of claim 2, wherein the body portion is curved for conforming to the shape of the face of a patient. 10. The tube holder of claim 1, wherein the tube grasping mechanism comprises an upper semicircular region and a lower semicircular region pivotably attached to the upper semicircular region. 11. The tube holder of claim 10, wherein the upper semicircular region and the lower semicircular region comprise teeth to lock the lower semicircular region to the upper semicircular region and secure a tube therebetween. 12. The tube holder of claim 10, wherein the lower semicircular region includes a tail end and the upper semicircular region includes a pincer configured to receive and lock the tail end and accordingly secure a tube between the upper and the lower semicircular regions. 13. The tube holder of claim 12 wherein the tail end is toothed on at least one surface. 14. The tube holder of claim 2, wherein the body portion further comprises widened pad regions at opposite ends for lying against the face of a patient. 15. The tube holder of claim 14, further comprising a band opening on each of the widened pad regions for receiving a flexible band for tying around the head or the neck of the patient. 16. The tube holder of claim 1, wherein the body portion comprises a rigid material. 17. The tube holder of claim 2, further comprising an arm that connects the tube grasping mechanism to the attachment mechanism. 18. The tube holder of claim 1, wherein the elongated opening includes a toothed surface on at least one side. 19. An endotracheal tube holder, comprising: a tube grasping mechanism; anda body portion, wherein the body portion is elongated and comprises an elongated opening in the form of an elongated slit along a horizontal axis of the body portion, the elongated slit permitting lateral adjustment and securing of an attachment mechanism to any location along the elongated slit, for adjustably securing the tube grasping mechanism to the body portion,the tube grasping mechanism rigidly connected to the attachment mechanism adjustably securing the tube grasping mechanism to the body portion, the attachment mechanism comprising: a rod member that passes through the elongated opening;a widened proximal body connected to a proximal end of the rod member; anda widened distal body attached to a distal end of the rod member, having a size that prevents the widened distal body from passing through the elongated opening to secure the attachment mechanism to the body portion, and the widened distal body having a smooth, vertical surface parallel to and pressed against smooth, vertical surfaces on the body portion immediately below and above the elongated opening, whereby the pressing is predominantly accomplished through at least one force orthogonal to these surfaces. 20.
