This study was conducted to develop a practical technology of pheromone traps application for major Hemipteran species. Several aggreation pheromone traps were tested to clarify the difference of attraction power among them. The year-round occurrence and spatial distribution on specific duration of Riptortus pedestris were investigated. The lure-distance of Riptortus pedestris aggregation pheromone was elucidated. The recaptured ratio showed that 76.1% of total recaptured individuals were lured within 40m and 89.0% of total recaptured adults were arrested in the lower than 80m. There is not much differences in the number of recaptured individuals according to the location of installed traps in experiment. And the
damage mitigation effect by mass trapping of R. pedestris was examined in commercial soybean fields. The result was shown that between the total installed number of traps and the total number of trapped individuals was linearly correlated in commercial soybean fields and the highest yield (261.8g/10 stems) was investigated in the field that was installed a pheromone trap per 770㎡ but there is no relationship between covered areas of a pheromone trap for mass trapping and yield loss. we could reduce slightly the damage of soybean seed by mass trapping of Riptortus pedestris adult with a aggregation pheromone trap per 385∼770 ㎡ area range. Riptortus pedestris and the plant-derived volatile chemicals for communicating to Paromius exiguus. We did not get good results in investigating volatile chemicals for communication between Paromuis exiguus and host plants. As a way to get a better results, it is necessary to research the volatile chemicals based on the results of this study
Resulting from development process of industrialization, Bean bug(R. clavatus) pheromone, existing ingredients which composed of (E)-2-hexenyl (E)-2-hexenoate, Myristate isobutyrate and (E)-2-hexenyl Z-3-hexnenoate, one of the ingredient E-2-hexenyl Z-3-hexnenoate (EZ) was less then 85% purity including geometric isomer, to get improved purity (over 95%) was arranged the synthetic routes. Plus, synthetic process conducted to the substances known as additional ingredients, Octadecyl isobutyrate (hereafter OI) and (E)-2-hexenyl hexanoate (EH) to the combination of the existing three kinds of pheromone. In a timely manner fashion OI developed earlier that results on its own attractiveness test was superior than the existing three-component mixture ones, has become so commercialized including it in the product portfolio. In case of EH, the attractiveness is identified later and currently product blending is on the preparation. The aggregation pheromone of brown winged stink bug(Plutia stali) is not available for pheromone synthesis in the domestic and imported price was KRW500,000 per gram in Japan and is being commercialized. To be commercialized them in the domestic, pheromone lures was more than KRW25,000 can not be used in domestic farmers. Accordingly, research and development was carried out with brown winged stink bug aggregation pheromone for goal of localization. In a various attempts to find a new starting materials and methods, the possibility of starting material, 1-Bromobutane 2-Butenoic acid, Methyl crotonate, 1,3-propanediol, Methyl 4-bromocrotonate (Z)-2-hexenyl bromide, butyl triphenyl phophonium bromide 7 were selected. Consequently, candidated ingredients 1-Bromobutane Butenoic acid, Methyl crotonate, 1,3-propanediol, Methyl 4-bromocrotonate, (Z)-2-hexenyl bromide was not capable to synthesize the final ingredients because of several reason and could not reached target unit price and purity. However, in the synthesis progress of butyl triphenyl phophonium bromide as a starting material, our target price (KRW70,000) and a purity (over 90%) had been accomplished. Major component in the domestic rice bug(Leptocorisa chinensis) is known as the 2-octenyl acetate imported from Japan and the United States only as being test purpose, not produced in domestic. Currently rice bug(Leptocorisa chinensis) pheromone imported from the anonymous company is distributed as KRW7,000. The direction of this study, after purchasing of (E)-2-octen-1-ol, starting materials of E-2-octenyl acetate tried to be synthesized by one-step reaction in a simple scheme, but because the current imported price is not cheaper than 250,000/100g, direction of this study had a plan to synthesize from the starting materials. Price target of starting materials was determined around 100,000 won per 100g. The unit cost of the target starting materials was synthesized below KRW100,000 in terms of experimental results and the purity of the material was more than 95% after the whole process. There was no poor reproducibility problem of purity and was able to mass-produce, Unit price was obtained approximately KRW2,000 per gram. Major components of Tropidothorax cruciger Pheromone was composed of E-2.7-octadienyl acetate and E-2-octenyl acetate and two ingredients (the same as Leptocorisa chinensis ) found in male and female.
