농업현장의 증가하는 임상진단 수요에 대처하여 신속․정확한 병해충 진단기술을 개발하고 진단결과를 환류하여 방제의사결정을 지원하고자 3년간의 연구과제 수행동안 과수 493, 채소 1,363, 화훼 554건 등 총 2,413건의 임상진단을 실시하였다.

During the execution of the research project(from 2012 to 2014 year), blueberry canker(Cytospora sp) and rot(Botryosphrea sp), pear scab(Venturia nashicola),radish crown gall(Agorobacterium. tumefaciens), storage disease of sweet pumpkin(Acremonium sp), plum tree bacterial shot hole(Xantomonas arboricola),Japanese apricot wilt disease(Irpex laceus) were occurred severely in farmland.
Through this study, broad host range of Agrobacterium tumefaciens occurring crown gall on several crop especially fruit trees were revealed including radish,brown mustard, turnip, cucumber, carrot, tomato, lettuce etc..
After performing pathogenicity test in lettuce seedling stage, we could select three type of representative strains of Fusarium oxysporum depending on the degree of pathogenicity. And lettuce wilt resistance test was conducted to determine the extent of major commercial lettuce cultivars.
To evaluate the resistance degree of bacterial shot-hole on ten major cultivated cultivars of peach in Korea, pathogenicity test were conducted. As a result of pathogen inoculate assay, all tested leaves were infected in both wounded and no wounded treatments. Changbangjosaeng, Janghowonhwangdo cultivars were very susceptible, showing big size of lesions. On the other hand, Cheonghong, Mihong,and Cheonjungdobaegdo cultivars were highly resistant. Wolmi, Daegubo, Yumyeong, Mibaegdo, Seongoldeu cultivars were moderately resistant or susceptible.
In April 2014, seedlings of Fallopia multiflora showing wilt symptom were first found at a greenhouse in Punggi-eup, Yeongju-si, Korea. A Fusarium-like fungus was isolated from the wilted plant and it was identified as Fusarium oxysporum based on morphological characteristics and nucleotide sequence data of translation elongation factor 1-a. The fungus isolated from the diseased plant was revealed to be pathogenic to the host plant through pathogenicity tests, and the reisolation of the pathogen confirmed Koch’s postulates. This is the first report of Fusarium wilt occurring on Fallopia multiflora in the world.
○ Title : Monitoring on horticultural crops diseases and insect pests in central Korea
We conducted nationwide survey on the occurrence of major pathogen and insect pests in central korea. The investigation horticultural major crops are vegetables(pepper, tomato and watermelon) and fruits(grape, peache and cherry).Monitoring on horticultural crops diseases and insect pests was conducted growing period three year span from 2012 to 2014 in main production areas of central Korea. Pepper survey areas in Cheongyang-gun, Taean-gun, Eumseong-gun. The pepper major pathogen and insect pests is anthracnose, phytophthora blight,bacterial wilt, worms, thrips, mites etc. Tomato survey areas in Buyeo-gun,Nonsan-city, Chuncheon-city. The tomato major pathogen and insect pests is leaf mold, phytophthora blight, bacterial wilt, greenhouse whitefly, broad mite, thrips etc.Watermelon survey areas in Buyeo-gun, Nonsan-city, Eumseong-gun.
The Watermelon major pathogen and insect pests is bacterial fruit blotch, black rot, powdery mildew, aphids, mites, thrips etc. Grape survey areas in Anseong-city,Cheonan-city, Yeongdong-gun. The grape major pathogen and insect pests is leaf spot, downy mildew, large clearwing moth, mirid bug, thrips etc. Peache survey areas in Sejong-city, Eumseong-gun, Wonju-city. The peache major pathogen and insect pests is bacterial shot hole, leaf curl, oriental fruit moth, peach leaf miner etc. Cherry survey areas in Hwaseong-city, Pyeongtaek-city, Eumseong-gun. The cherry major pathogen and insect pests is bacterial shot hole, canker, oriental fruit moth, mirid bug etc. The pest occurrence was investigated to have received a significant impact on climate change. The open field horticultural crops was investigated by the affected lots more.
