○ 한우 비육우 성장단계별 TMR사료 급여 결과 성분 조성에 영향을 미치지 않았으나 사료비 절감 및 육질 등급 향상에 따른 총 소득 증가 효과 확인
○ 조사료를 다급여하여 한우를 비육하면 도축 판매 가격의 하락에 비해 사료비 절감 효과가 커 한우 비육농가의 실질적인 경제적 효과 확인
○ 전남지역 양질조사료 최대생산 작부체계는 하계작물로 수수류 2회수확 하고, 동계작물로 이탈리안 라이그라스가 가장 유리한 것으로 조사됨

Ruminants to be fed roughage to nutritional quality, physiological, economic and points to the importance of the social and environmental aspects need not be emphasized. After weaning, feeding of appropriate and good quality forage is a great help for development of rumen and an important method of feeding and management that are not exposed to the disease at growing period(Cho et al., 1997; Jin et al., 2012; Kim, 2006). Recently, consumer’s interest and demand is increasing about organic or eco-friendly livestock products and also forage fed mainly by increased interest in the production of livestock together, rather than feeding grain to livestock production(Ahn et al., 2000; Kook et al.,2011).
The first study was conducted to investigate the dietary effect of total mixed ration(TMR) based on roughage, such as Italian ryegrass, Sudan grass and rice straw on growth performance, feed cost, carcass characterisctics and quality characteristics of Hanwoo steers. Twenty four Hanwoo steers(average body weight 195.3 ± 4.7 kg) in 8.5 months age were randomly allocated to 3 experimental groups. The treatment was composed of the group according to forage and concentrate ratio(DM basis) fed 25:75(control), 50:50(T1) and 70:30(T2) cattle. The result of productivity in fattening period, final body weight and total body gain were significantly greater in control diet than other diets(p<0.05). Average daily gain and feed conversion ratio were not different among treatments. Feed cost per month per head was relatively low and so income was increased in T1 and T2 diets compared to control diet. The changes of serum parameters,cholesterol, BUN and total protein, were significantly higher in control diet than T1 and T2 diets(p<0.05). Carcass weight were greater in control diet(p<0.05) but longissirnus dorsi area, yield grade, marbling score and meat quality grade of over 1 were higher by feeding more roughage(p<0.05). Chemical composition, share force and drip loss, was increased in T1 diet compared to other groups(p<0.05). However, meat color, fatty acid composition and sensory evaluation were not significant among treatments. In the amino acid contents,glutamic acid and glycine in control diet were higher than T1 and T2 diets.Therefore, these results indicated that TMR with high roughage system could reduce feed cost and increase gross income according to improve quality grade.
The second study was conducted to confirm the possibility of reduction the cost of production and improving quality of Hanwoo fattening farm through high-quality roughage. High roughage-provided farms among Hanwoo fattening farm within Jeon-nam Do were investigated from February 2013 to December 2015.
Slaughter shipment month age of applied farm was investigated to 31.8 months, longer than national average. Final body weight and carcass weight weighed less than national average, but carcass ration was higher.
As a result of investigating carcass grade, Rate of 1 grade and greater grade(1++, 1+, 1) was 4.8% higher than national average, especially 1+ grade was 4.1% higher compared to national average.
Production cost of high roughage-provided farm has a effect on reduction feeding price of 213,000won compared to national average. About forage income, supply price of applied farm was 185,000won lower than national average, having a result of increasing total income of 28,068won.
The result of investigating carcass characteristic and meat composition of slaughter supply cow was 33.0kg lower average final body weight and 15.6kg lower carcass weight than national average, but dressed carcass precentage was investigated 0.5% higher than national average. The moisture among general characteristics of meat was 0.6% higher than other groups, crude protein 0.9% higher and crude fat 0.7% higher. Water holding capacity among physical characteristics was lower than other groups, but drip loss and shearing force were higher. The results of analyzing fat acid and amino acid had no significant difference.
The third study was conducted from 2013 to 2015 at Gangjin(Livestock Research Institute, Jeollanamdo Agricultural Research and Extension Service(JARES)) to investigate the select the optimal double cropping system on growth, yield and nutritive value of summer forage(silage corn, sorghumx sudangrass hybrid, summer Oat) and winter forage(barley, Italian ryegass) and also to determine the best double cropping system necessary to maximize the total forage yield of winter forages plus summer forage crops. cultivation method was Double crop(sorghum sudangrass hybrid+IRG(T1), sorghum sudangrass hybrid+Baley(T3)) and Triple crop(silage corn+(oat+IRG)(T2))mixed. Testing varieties was Gwangpyeongok(corn), Jumbo(sorghum sudangrass hybrid), Highspeed(oat), Kowineorly(IRG), Wooho(Baley).
Yield of oat decrease in Triple crop system. Because, Compete between oat to IRG for same growth duration in fall and it influence poor growth of IRG. Total Digestible Nutrients for the year order lager (T1) > (T3) > (T2) > in cropping system. The result of this study indicated that sorghum×sudangrass hybrid (summer crop) and Italian ryegrass(winter crop) cropping system could be recommended as producing high yield of organic forage in southern region of Korea. So, this study can supply each region forage production by cropping system and new technical to farm.
