1. 자궁내막증, 흡연, 자궁 근종 등이 여성 난임에 미치는 영향을 임상적으로 분석하고, 난포, 난자 및 배아 발달의 과정에 미치는 영향을 실험을 통해 증명함.

1. To investigate the effects of various characteristics and diseases of women on the outcome of in vitro fertilization
(1) Analyze the effect of endometriosis on the outcome of in vitro fertilization
(2) Establishment criteria for evaluation of ovarian function
(3) Development of effective in vitro fertilization technology for immature oocytes
(4) Analysis of the outcome of in vitro fertilization (IVF) according to the low fertility disease or degree of response to ovarian stimulation, and related technology development
(5) Development of effective in vitro fertilization technology for smoking couple

Expected Contribution
1. In the future infertility research, the effects of endometriosis on fertility are demonstrated through basic research and animal experiments, and based on the results, the basis of research on the treatment of patients with endometriosis is presented.
2. From the technical point of view, we will expand the clinical application by developing a technology that can predict the low-response group and improve the pregnancy rate according to each individual patient.
3. Economically and industrially, our results can reduce the huge personal and social costs of infertility treatment.
4. To present a basic research model for the infertility research of male infertility field and to develop the technology which can be clinically applied in the future.
5. Domestic production of embryo culture and transfer media, which are dependent on foreign technology and acquiring of patent technology, can achieve technical independence, improve international competitiveness, and bring about possibility of foreign currency acquisition through export of medical technology
6. Identification of microRNAs related to embryo development and implantation process can be applied to pathophysiology, prevention and treatment for various women’s diseases in reproductive organs
