Abstract: In this study, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of the ethanol extracts from Aralia continentalis Kitagawa were investigated in vitro. Contents of total polyphenols and flavonoid in the ethanol extracts were 12.88 and 4.54 mg/g respectively. Radical-scavenging activities of the ethanol extracts were examined by using α,α-diphenyl-βpicrylhydrazyl radicals assay. Anti-inflammatory activity of the ethanol extracts were examined by using NO inhibition activities. The ethanol extracts from A. continentalis showed a strong anti-inflammatory activity through inhibition of NO production
