This study suggested diverse teaching approaches applicable to Christian education by analyzing student learning styles based on MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality test results. The MBTI instrument was administered because it has been considered "the most reliable method for assessing student learning style". Various teaching methods can be employed for Christian education; however, problems such as the time constraints, limited resources and above all, poor understanding of the methods pose serious obstacles. In addition, even in the classrooms where various teaching methods are practiced, the methods are the subject of the education and students are the object, which debilitates students' learning by creating method-driven learning environment. This thesis attempted to investigate the existence of learning styles suitable to individuals by analyzing their personality through MBTI. First, the study examined whether or not different learning styles were used by different MBTI profiles. The results revealed that for learning styles by the index, Introversion(I) was preferred to Extroversion(E), Sensing(S) to Intuition(I), Feeling(F) to Thinking(I), and Judging(J) to Perceptive(P). When comparing learning styles according to MBTI preferences, learners seemed to select the styles suitable to their preferences. In comparing learning styles according to individual's disposition, meaningful correlations were found between 'N-F' and 'P-J'. By comparing learning styles according to MBTI types, meaningful results were only found between types that prefer extroverted learning style (i.e., ENTP and ENFJ) and types that prefer introverted learning style (i.e., ISFJ and INTP). In terms of learning methods by the individual, summary, reading, and understanding were preferred. And when examining learning environments by the individual, quiet atmosphere was preferred. The results imply that teachers need to acknowledge the differences in learning styles among students and apply suitable teaching methods to facilitate their learning. Students also need to be more aware of their personality and learning styles. Although there is much room for improvement in Christian education, if teachers actively seek different effective methods for each student and apply the learning style that works for them and become proactive in the class, Christian education will bear better fruits.
